I'd agree if they didn't have Potter. She can make rough teams look at least decent just like she did this previous season.
potter does not make miracles. without jawgemo the team last season would be worse than mibr, and they lost him., and his replacement is hilariously bad. there's no escape this time
Look, Jaw is among the best duelists in Americas.
But at some point EG had to accept he wanted out. You gotta look at T2 for talent.

Give him time and experience under a coach like potter and i personally think he will be good.

almost the same team with an great duelist like jawgemo havent even reached a single playoff (only in kickoff but they had a huge advantage there)
the team now is arguably worse, with the same core, a massively worse duelist and a maybe-same-level-maybe-better sentinel (i confess i havent seen yay playing since C9 but i cant see him being worse than apoth), while everyone around got better
theres absolutely no way this team goes well. at most they will fight for playoffs again, but probably be bottom tier. people seem to forget potter, while being great, don't work that well when she doesn't have a starplayer duelist, just see how 2023 was before demon1. sym is not the same level at all
To be fair, im not entirely confident in EG ether. They have to make it work with an inexperienced duelist and a sentinel that is coming off one of his worst years in T1.
While replacing jawgemo is almost an impossible task with how flexible he is and how much firepower he brings, i think Sym, though unproven, can have enough impact for EG to take a couple games.
Apoth though, He always had great timings and brought rounds back just by himself. That doesnt mean yay cant do it ether.
I honestly think yay can become that sentinel that always just appears and makes a huge impact on certain rounds.
im trying to give faith (or cope) for this team, but it became increasingly harder since Jaw left, and after all the memes and backlash for not paying their players. It's hard for them to try and yoink a star duelist from another team.
EG will be mid-table at worst. potter can coach sym to greatness, yay is back, and between supamen and derrek, and the experience nature got from this year, EG can cook very easily
i wont have to because they physically cant turn out to be terrible.
at the very least they will beat mibr, loud, 2g, furia, c9, and, as potter is known for her upsets, one or two of lev/g2/sen/nrg/100t/kru
They just lost xand and nzr. Who are they signing? Haven't heard rumors about them
losing xand is a big upgrade, they signed heat and raafa, raafa is the best tier 2 IGL in brazil, they will me good trust me, honestly EG looks way worse, MIBR will be worse too if they dont get aspas
Raafa is the biggest question for that roster for me. Khalil Mw and Heat will be good, but I think I would have rathered nozwer since he’s more proven in T1

Considering how bad the brazilian teams were this year, it has to be one of them. People saying EG are forgetting potter raises their floor to a certain level of respectability.

2G will play around in the mud without Spikezin but reach a respectable placement when he's back
This year furia have a team 10x better then last year. If you think that they will fail hard, you are wrong. The second best team in Brasil (that if Aspas and Nzr really sign with Mibr)

furia/2g/loud will be at the bottom, out of these 3 i think 2g will do good later in the season once they get spike back, but the other two are doomed.
