Yes? Are you new to Valorant. Before being sent down to Challengers when it was Open Bracket not franchising they were tier 1 Players who beat Masters winning SEN with dapr Tenz Shazam and Optic and qualified for Masters Playoffs. Mada in open bracket was only beating random teams. Tenz literally said on stream they were winning only 3 games each map against The Guard in scrims. They "returned" to tier 1 in September 2023 not "joined".
Are also you equating Verno's first year to JohnQT joining Tier 1 in September 2023. Activate our brain a bit here.

Whether they've been in franchising for the past one or a million years does nothing to change the point that T2 players aren't some inherently worse pool to pick from like the guy I replied to thinks they are

Cryo either plays like the best player in the server or a total ghost, no in between
I’d rate Cryo as probably the best Jett in the region just for his Oping but he’s a step down on any other Agent — Just think cNed.
Asuna is a highly vocal Zyppan. He’s more consistent than Zellsis and Mazino on flashes but falls behind Ethan, JonahP, and Cauanzin. So top 5.
He plays Raze and Neon though which makes up for Cryo’s inflexibility. He’s probably 6th-8th in the region?

Well basically in my opinion, the current meta rewards:
-aggressive Neon players that can carry lobbies with mechanics and movement
-proficient raze players with top tier movement on bind and split.
-S tier awpers only on Ascent and Icebox
If we look at the map pool:
Sunset: Raze/Neon/Yoru
Split: Raze
Bind: Raze
Abyss: Jett/Yoru
Haven: Jett/Neon/Yoru
Ascent: Jett
Icebox: Jett/No Duelist
If we're to base Cryo purely off the fact that Jett can be played in 4 of the 7 maps in the pool (ignoring that Neon is arguably better in some of them), if he's a step down on any map where Asuna has to fill Raze in his stead then the team's average quality goes down on those maps--especially since we both agree Asuna isn't realistically going to hard-diff his competition on that role either.
To put it another way, what I'm saying is that on 3/7 maps in the pool, the duelist slot that Asuna fills is downgraded and the flex spot that cryo then has to fill is also downgraded. This will at best cost 100T the advantage in map vetoes against most teams and at worst nerf them severely on at least 1 (potentially 2) maps of any Bo3 they play next year.
That’s a pretty accurate assessment.
Icebox and Ascent became their primary maps in Split 2. Bind was heavily anti’d while Asuna’s Raze and Cryo’s Omen were poor on Lotus. Cryo also dropped stinkers on Astra for Split and Jett on Haven — to the point they switched to the FNC comp with him on Iso and Asuna in Yoru for their playoff match against Sen and looked decent.
Here’s how the map pool favors them:

The question I'm asking is who tf is cloud9 getting that puts them above 100T? 100t made LAN and got 4th for qualifying for Champs (Kinda got scammed by format but whatever), and all Ik rn is C9 is getting Rossy and that one pick up alone doesn't change anything
I like this ranking. C9 might be a dark horse with the Rossy pick up and if Xeppaa maintains his off-season form. v1c is also a great fragger — like an offbrand Skuba or Zander, same quality but lesser known.
3rd-5th should be close hopefully but I don’t see G2 and SEN not making at least 2/3 Internationals. I do think you should include LEV in the list though since they’re going to be majority NA it seems.
ig LEV to start the season would probably be 5-7. Expectations should start low with Demon1. If he gets back to form they would probably be top 3. At his peak he could win maps on his own
1: G2 (They kept their 4 and added jawgemo which is a huge upgrade for icy)
2: Sen , they have their core of 3 and solid new signs if rumors are true.
3: I would put 100T here coz they looked good in 2024 and now with enough time I believe they will cook up something good.
4: NRG , FNS last dance , best t2 duelist , best t2 initiator arguably and ethan and s0m . What else can be said.
5: Cloud9: C9 are weird , they are gonna start crazy hot then choke all the playoffs in existence.
6:EG , ong they are cooked but I wouldn’t be suprised if they make the first international via some crazy cooking if potter stays.
Honorable Mentions: LEV 💀 they are practically a NA team if demon1 signing rumors are true.

I think the top 2 are quite close and pretty interchangeable, with NRG their closest competitor. 100T should be improved with Zander but I'm still not convinced they weren't just on a hot streak tbh. C9 is mid and EG I haven't heard any roster rumors other than losing Jawgemo so they're last just by default.
Before it becomes a fad, I'll say, I'm a Furia fan and they going to destroy next year. You can call me crazy, but Furia is top 4
