I feel like people would want community skins then overpriced 200$ skin sets that cant be resold

and I think you argue a good point. CS2 did remove maps, some game modes however they have been adding them back with a visually better looking style to the maps. The graphics and visuals of the maps greatly improved because of it and it addition allowed them to make changes to the maps. Yes, i am comparing the two cause some argue valorant is better and some argue CS is better. Valorant revolutionized esports and may have brought it more light and I hope that it continues, but peoples comparisons between the two are drastically different in the sense that youre trying to compare old to new. this is just some opinions and facts, i respect your take

I do understand about the whole org representation and 50% proceeds, however, it took them a long time and they only made classic skins. This is just me but I feel like updates that help the pro scene doesnt necessarily help the community. I feel like riot priorities's the pro scene more then what the casuals want, which is new game modes, replay system, a more fun and enjoyable type of game that doesnt feel like a sweat fest every round

posted 3 weeks ago

So many people have such strong opinions on both games that its just kinda dumb at this point. Im going to js state the obvious, CS has-

  1. More Players
  2. More Viewership
  3. Community pieces implanted into the game (Stickers, Maps, Skins)
  4. A market
  5. More Game modes
  6. Better graphics (Js my opinion)
  7. A diverse community that co-exits together

Valorant has-

  1. Devs who dont listen
  2. Very opinionated topics
  3. A huge level of complexity
  4. Balancing problems
  5. Cash-Grab tactics
  6. Minimal representation of Esports teams
  7. No Re-Play system (Its been four years bru, we got a non-binary character before a much needed system in the game)
  8. A community that spreads hate (Yall argue over non binary characters, how good or bad maps are an you hate on eachother for it, its kinda petty)

At the end of the day, both games have there flaws, both games have there ups an downs, but truly if you guys still wanna argue bout which one is better, just look at everything Valve has done for CS, there community, there esports and there game, then look at valorant

posted 3 weeks ago

thats the other thing, val will never beat CS cause CS has been out longer, has been a center point and blueprint of esports and is also a lot more welcoming

Okay, $25 per capsule per team compared to R6 which is cheaper skins and you can also equip some of the skins to EVERY gun in the game. Is riot just doing the bare minimum?

This is the first time that DRX has not made a Masters event in history.

To make this more clear, I want to make an actual thread comparing what both organizations have to bring to the table, what factors may have played into riot games decision and generally put the statistics of which ORG should have been chosen.

  1. BOOM is more widely known then GE. While GE is an ORG from India which also has more then a billion people, GE hasn't really been represented at the scale that BOOM was.
  2. Indonesia has very good talent and has multiple players in pacific, so it would make sense to have another Indonesia team to bring in that type of fanbase. I also don't think people realize that Indonesia is home to 273 million people, with the population nearly growing 25 million in a decade.
  3. Global Esports has not been fully transparent on how many scenes they've really tapped into and have made themselves bigger then what they seem like. Global esports claims from there website, globalesports.com , that they own "12 teams" across "9 titles* (Games) yet most of there players or rosters aren't even registered into Liquidpedia or for that matter barely registered at all.

Now, overall, I do want to say that both orgs have made incredible accomplishments both individually and side by side, and I am not trying to shame the orgs, just trying to surface some light. If you're looking at this, honestly decide which organization you would rather have.

💀💀💀

posted 2 months ago

then tell me what a org that had only one other active team "PUBG Mobile" had over a team like BOOM?

posted 2 months ago

Just saying, Riot games chose a ORG who hasn't been to a single international event, barely played in any VCT and had some of the worst performances over a team with a great roster, international experience and one of the best teams APAC has ever seen. Wanna guess who???

The CEO is actually so dumb. We all expected two full seasons from riot games, but if this shit continues where they dont have two actual seasons, ill be done watching any vct

Since we dont know what Vitality is on and theyre looking like Karmine Korp signing tier 4 talent, heres my vision of a rebuild for Vitality:

Drop Kicks, Cender and Destrian. Kicks is Tier 4, no need, Cender has been on the team for three years, hasnt worked out as IGL, Detrian is just dead money

Sign Jesse from Valiant. Hes been known as one of the best smoke players in tier two, but no ones taken a shot on him. Sign Juseu as flex, hes had ups and downs but is a solid flex to pick up. Sign KamyK. This kid has had the exposure to Tier 1 ever since the sub in for Fnatic, and if Fnatic is taking a shot on him, why not Vitality?? So, heres what ive come up with

-Entry- Keep RunneR, hes been doing good
-IGL/Sentinel- Sayf is easily the best option and a good fit
-Flex- Juseu
-Initiator- KamyK
-Smokes- Jesse

This is just an opinion, but is this a good one?

Now i know the year is just starting, and the VCT league teams are just aligning themselves up for the season, but you have to think, what happens if these teams dont do well? Well, theres a few options this riot games could do, one of them is adding a relegation system.

For teams like Sentinels, Fnatic, Liquid or Paper Rex, this shouldn't be a problem as they are great teams in there own respect, and they stride to make there teams better and better every year, but what about teams like Global Esports, 100T, or Karmine Korp?

For many watching VCT, we all make fun of these teams, why? Because they suck, they don't preform good and there absolute trolls, but if you're the owner of a multi billion dollar company, one might think that if these teams continue to be the laughing stock of the league, why not replace them with a better, stronger and more competitive team? That's what relegation could bring.

However, in order for teams to be relegated, I feel like there should be some boundaries that would have you under-
One, you obviously have had to play in the league for two years.
Two, out of the two years (four seasons) if you only have one winning season, your chances become greater
Three, you haven't made it to a LAN event in any of your seasons
Four, you haven't even made the playoffs

Those are straight-forward, right? Now the real question, will riot games make a relegation system, how would it look like or better yet, would riot games just want to keep the highest paying orgs in there pool.

With EG completely falling apart, and most likely will shut there doors permanently at the end of 2024, can they still build a team?

Likely options that could happen is brining in an older player in the scene, for example wardell. As wardell might not be the best fit for the, you have to look at what's left for EG. EG will most likely not be spending a crap load of money if there already heading for bankruptcy.

Another player they could be looking at is of course SYM. Apart of the old moist moguls roster, he could always be picked up by the organization. The only conflict would be whos the starting duelist between Wardell and Sym.

The next player to look at is more of a sentinel type player, and Aproto could be a great fit. With also having a duo from an old existing amazing team, this team could build a very strong connection.

To really round out this roster, you need an initiator player. Now with not many options to choose from, this would be a bit difficult. Im not sure if EG is willing to buy out a contract, but they could try and get tdawgg.

Either way, for EG, this could be a difficult decision on what roster they want to build, but knowing how potter constructs teams, she might look for new fresh talent that just hasn't had a big opportunity to shine on the big stage.

To get a bases of how bad I think this event will be, lets digest previous Master events. Throughout Valorants history, the lowest team count for a Masters event has been ten teams. Ever since Reykjavík in 2021, its always been twelve teams minimum, but why now is it we're seeing the lowest amount of teams in a single Masters event of eight? You mine as well just ask the eight best teams in the world to a charity tournament then have start up regional tournaments. Thirty Six teams, thirty six teams will have to wait at least a month to have a shot at going to another event. This "Two teams per region" is stupid. There's three main reasons

  1. If you want you're game to compete with CS2 esports, you need more of the highest level teams playing more games, this event wont offer that
  2. Out of eleven teams in a given region, only two will make it threw. One slip up, and no-no, you're out for another month
  3. Riot just brought in China VCT yet only two teams will get represented on the international scale, why?

Now on top of this, people would rather watch in region events because its more entertaining. You're going to have more games to watch, which means more entertainment and more variety instead of just watching the best teams. Another reason is what about the underdog teams? Third spot usually goes to an underdog team, but with this, they'll be no real underdog team of how I see it. Finally, the most important thing, this is easily riots biggest year with VCT having new teams in the pool, and for the first Masters event, you're going to make is nearly impossible, and with having great talent and teams this year, why don't you want more of these teams in a international event? This is why I think Masters Madrid is going to be a horrid event to watch, but its just my opinion, no opinion is right or wrong, its just an idea.

posted 4 months ago

I think thats fair, and thats even if EG is still in VCT next year. I think Americas has amazing talent this year and some teams really did improve a lot, but some are just as bad as last year. It'll be an interesting year

posted 4 months ago

I agree. Eight teams for a masters event is horrid

posted 4 months ago

Throughout the offseason in VCT Americas, we've seen some teams do great and some team well...cough Kru cough
Take this with a grain of salt, this is my personal opinion on the standings that might happen
LEV (10-0)
SEN(9-1)
LOUD(7-3)
NRG(7-3)
EG(6-4)
C9(5-5)
G2(4-6)
Furia(4-6)
100T(2-8)
MiBr(1-9)
KRU(0-10)

Bro...there's no shot that EDG isn't apart of the top three teams in VCT China. In some context, EDG has single handedly been the best team in China for at least a year, toppling over every team. They just won the three acts of the Chinese tournament that happened. Back to back to back, and went to Champions 2022, LOCK//IN, Masters Tokyo AND THEN champions 2023, however, that's not enough to have them in the top three of VCT Chinese teams that have already qualified. So, lets take a look back and see what achievements FPX has in China. FPX has, wait hold on, a 13th-16th place at champions 2023? Okay, well at least it cant get worse, lets look at bilibili. Ah, see, Bilibili, top eight in Champions 2023 with no other achievements, okay, now lets look at the last team, JD gaming, surely it'll be better, right? NOTHING, F***ING NOTHING. THEYVE WON A TOTAL OF 694$, THE MATH DOESNT MATH. HOW DO YOU LET A TEAM WITH NO ACHIEVMENTS INTO VCT, THIS SOUNDS LIKE SOME NA SHIT. We all know how XSet and OpTic were robbed, we all know how FPX was robbed, so why tf does it keep happening? So, as I calm my tone, someone please help me explain why EDG being arguably the best team in China and one of the best teams in the world not have a top three spot in VCT china?

So what is up with teams in the VCT looking for affiliate teams? According to Flynn the teams of (Furia, Kru, Leviatan, Team Liquid, Giants, FUT, Karmine Corp, ZETA Division, DRX, Rex Regum, Global esports and Bleed) are looking for affiliate teams. Is this only to help with the finance, or is this a partnership with other teams? Can someone explain, my brain is slow lol

So we all know breeze is coming back out. Have your opinions or not, its not my concern. I was looking at A hall and wondering why would they get arid of the door, it makes no sense. Well, bucker up cause I got some shi to say, A Hall isnt completely closed. Threw via Dot Esports, if you look at A Hall, you can see that the change from the metal door shows only the left side of the rope cut off. (Left if youre looking from the cave area) but if you look threw the hall you can see on the left hand side theres a metal box :0 THEN if you look at the chop shop change and look to the top where hall is, THE RIGHT SIDE ISNT BLOCKED OFF HAHA. I really need sleep but I thought this was really interesting

Okay, so the real problem with NA. We all know NA to be one of the hottest regions in valorant, well wtf happened. Three things. Number one, franchising. This made a lot of good and talented teams who would have been a better fit out of the question because there organization wasn't sustainable. This means teams like XSet, OpTic Gaming, The Guard ect...Reason two, the amount of Tier 1-2 teams that are still in NA willing to pay a shit ton of money to players. More or less tier two teams, they aren't letting go of players and if I'm being honest, tier two NA is much better then tier 1. Last reason, after XSet and OpTic gaming couldn't make it to franchising both of these talented rosters were shattered into splinters among the tier one scene, and with that no NA team can replace what those teams had. Its a power vacuum that's been caused by riot and will stay like this for a long time.

I think its really funny that FireFlux was number one in the Turkish season but didnt place number one overall, so they had a goal. Number 1, fix there roster. They did that, but they also did something else as well. Number two, buy out the other team thats equally as good as you and make the turkish league only fall to 9 teams instead of 10. I think its impressive, i dont think that we've seen another team ever do this. Kind of an L move because they bought out there competition but if it works then it works.

posted about a year ago

they would kill the Aussie scene. They were Exo-Clan, and they took it at first strike

posted about a year ago

thats mostly true. And they also joined NA at the worst time cause Yk, Gen.G, V1, T1, NRG, TSM, Sentinels, C9, 100T, SoaR, Ect, Ect
It was one of the most advanced eras in NA valorant, with multiple orgs wanting the fame, and when you bring an Aussie team to NA at this time, it doesnt usually go well

I think we all knew that this was Soniqs last chance, and most of us predicted they would drop their team, but 9-3 last map, that’s the worded way to go. At that point, I think a 13-0 would have been better. 9-3 curse is real and it just plagued a whole organization of there opportunities

I cant begin to explain how good this fucking team is right now. They have been SO close to beating Navi, dismasting the Turkish scene and right now, they have, in my opinion, the best ascension team in EMEA right now. This team has so much potential and future, I cant wait to see where it brings them

Ok, its not a surprise that soniqs is still in valorant but wth is there team. Like no offense to there players or the org at all, but its like soniqs have failed to improve there team. They basically got a whole new team to just be disappointing. Ik its not ascension quite yet, but I dont think soniqs will stay until Split 2, I think they will leave before then
