I can only name 3 good players on Italy starting lineup what did you expect it's not a good time for Italian football
Unfortunately this is true.
Barella, Bastoni, Donnarumma, Darmian, and Chiesa are the only players in that lineup I rate, and it is devastating to have to resort to fielding SCAMacca as the starting striker. Bro can't finish to save his life. If only Calafiori and prime Insigne were here today...
Darmian is ass if you need a propositive fullback, and we really needed that.
The match against Switzerland was excruciating. They did not have a good game at all, we just played horribly. The only guy who even tried to attack depth was Zaccagni, the other wingers/fullbacks did not try one time to dash beyond the defense.
Unfortunately we dont have incredible passers in the midfield (Barella is good, but his role is not to do long passes) so we should try to build on the wings. This was not done and our attack strategies were inexistent.
I won't even talk about ahow bad we were on defensively cuz even a serie b team should o better than that, fucking holes everywhere
Okay, starting Darmian in left back was a terrible idea but I still rate him as a player nonetheless.
But yes, I share your grievances. Hopefully we qualify for an international event next time because we might as well not've been in the competition in the first place.

Don't agree with saying "Europe is the highest league of football there is" though, South America has just as many tier S teams as Europe, and that's with a lot fewer countries. Uruguay, Argentina, Colombia (maybe Brazil, wouldn't put money on it) would all make this Euros quarters on paper, and at least two of those would make Semis. Unfortunately at the moment, Italy is a joke, Belgium is a joke, England is a joke, and only Spain, France and Germany are really tier S.

italy in euro 2024? it was over before it began. Spaletti wanting to play 4-3-3, doesn't pick orsolini or politano. Plays darmian as left back instead of cambiaso. barella on the left side of midfield, chiesa hasn't been the same since all the injuries.

Spaletti thinks he's managing Napoli or something. The tiki taka passing he's trying to do doesn't work and loses us possession time and time again. If we ignore his inability to pick a decent squad, there's still the blaring errors that ultimately lie in his tactics or whatever he thinks they are. It's bad when you aren't seeing a team score but it's even worse when you just cannot visualize an attack as a viewer. Shambolic showing and absolutely disasterclass brainrot performance.
