No such thing as a Michael mouse. If the level of play is low, that means that the level of play among the teams that failed to qualify is even lower.
there is such thing, because i can probably name 10 teams that would have performed better than china this event. teams also miss events for all sorts of different reasons like FPX at Reykjavik 2
If having shitty Chinese teams makes the event Mickey Mouse that means that every event is Mickey mouse

The one thing fraudulent about Shanghai is how Emea got to play all the Chinese team to inflate their stats. Without those matchups they would already be eliminated

I would argue it's best described as a clown fiesta. Very few teams are playing at their best and the few that are are barely have to do anything new as the other team is racing to lose. Only team who has looked competitive every game imo is GenG

Definitely lower than average competition. Heretics got a sub, a bunch of last splits teams got boomed because of a brutal schedule, and some teams qualified over better better teams. Calling it a mickey mouse is dramatic, tho. There are enough good teams that the results are definitely still meaningful.
