Yeah and people questioning why China had 3 spots before champs. Riot clearly knows how to market their game. They know where the money is at
Maybe a over exaggerated but if it was actually RIOT who said it during a QandA session I’m not sure why they would lie. (Note : I didn’t do any research into this though so I have no clue if the guy that made the tweet is capping)

league is big in china, but they also have llike +20mio. valorant is still a new game there, so 1mio is still impressive

I’m not sure since I don’t live there but isn’t the limited screen time just for kids. Plus I thought it was only to play games not watch games but idk. Besides my friend told me a lot of kids use their parents/grand parents ID’s so they can have unlimited screen time since the rule is just for kids

I thought they use the heat system to confuse advertisers of the actual viewer count? How did riot know the numbers?
They probably ask the streaming websites directly, they've been collecting this data in LoL before escharts existed if I remember correctly.

league of legends is huge in china so chinese people love to watch esports even if they don't play this game, PUBG esports is dead in western countries but still a lot of chinese people watch it (more than valorant and CS )
In terms of gameplay quality, they deserve 1-2 spots... but apeaking about viewership, they deserve 5-6 spots
