That's why you have to look at depth of region and placements of regions as a whole. Americas outperformed EMEA when it came to placements at Tokyo.
Americas had NRG beat TL at the buzzer and that was the only placement they got better. If 1 spot and having LOUD bomb out groups compensates loosing the finals and as you say getting “outperformed” in the previous event, then sure guess Americas is better lol

I don't think Americas is clear of EMEA like a lot of fans but given the context of having 4 teams at Tokyo the "best region" should have more teams in the top 4 then Americas.
Why top 4 matters? Why not top 6? EMEA and NA had equal amount of teams in top 6.
Because EMEA has 4 spots, so I use the max number of teams possible to have at a certain point in the process of determining regional strength. Also, EMEA historically is supposed to be the strongest region so the fact that NA let alone Americas is competing is crazy to me.
BS argument. There's no correlation between EMEA amount of spots, and looking at top-4 of Tokyo because it's convenient to you.
EMEA had 4 slots that's why I look a top 4. If EMEA had all for teams in top 4 we could determine they are by far the best region. If there were 3 spots for every region, I would look a top 3 instead.
There's no logic behind this. You're making up stuff that's convenient to you, so you can say "NA is better".
It does. EMEA has 4 spots, so they have a higher likelihood of having higher placing teams especially when they're considered the best region. I do this with every region in any game. EX: Rocket league majors have 5 teams from NA and EU so I use 5-6th as one factor in determining which region is better. It is not the only factor, but I use it in helping me decide which region is better.
ZETA placed 3rd at Masters Iceland 2022. By your logic, it would make Japan the best region in the world at that time, as it was represented with just 1 team.

No, because it's unrealistic to expect all four team from a region to get top four unless that region is massively better than the others. So, if Liquid FNC NRG and EG made top 4, but FNC still won my opinion would be swayed because of how close the regions are right now.

The only EMEA teams at playoffs were the ones that skipped groups (Thanks to Fnatic again)
EMEA besides Fnatic only won against China (EDG and ASE)
We dont have to be genius to accept that, at this moment, NA is way better than EMEA, probably next season it will be different, because at this moment the emea talents are scattered among diff teams instead of another superteam
the other two EMEA teams were disappointing but overall the placements were similar. plus in LCQ many EMEA teams improved except for NAVI whereas many Americas teams other than KRU look like they stagnated. there is no superior region, teams win games, not regions.
