it's cause they're always considered the best or one of the best to win an event but bomb the fuck out and disappoint our asses
I mean they never did bad except Reykjavik. Saying bomb the fuck out is bit too much don't u think?
they're not bad but they keep choking at important matches (DRX vs Fnatic at Champions or Fnatic vs PRX at Copenhagen two prime examples of Fnatic trolling and then losing)
On paper they are good, but that does not account for the fact that players are humans and not machines that can function to their highest capacity in all matches.
So they get hyped for theoretically being the greatest team, but happen to perform more realistically and lose, which causes people to enjoy mocking the idiots who keep hyping them like they're the second coming of Astralis or smth.

exactly. they're not bad. but their fans always act like they are like the best team in the world and is going to win every upcoming tournament but they never do shit and their biggest achievement so far was second place in Reykjavik last year. thats why they are overrated.
this new team looks great on paper but so did all their previous rosters until they started failing.
Historically FNATIC has failed to meet expectations that's why people are choosing to overlook that FNATIC just picked up 2 of the top 5 players in EMEA along with Alfa, Boaster and Derke
EMEA has in my eyes two super teams and denying FNATIC is one of them is dumb
I mean technically Navi is also a super team. Old fpx was a super team imo. So 3 in total
nah he's overrated af they needed sheydos with him that team would be insane af
Soulcas is inconsistent yes but he has great aim and good utility usage. Under a good igl like redgar he will shine. Also even if soulcas isn't that good, tl is still a super team. They have some of the best players in their respective roles in emea
before they were overrated and would choke on lan but this new roster looks promising. kinda hype
its just the cycle of them upgrading -> looking really good at challengers -> fans hyping them up immensely (copenhagen was the peak of this) -> placing below expectations at international events (basically not winning)
all of their new rosters look promising, but it never seems like they reach their full potential
