Why do people overhype Fnatic tho? like they haven't won shit either. Everyone talks abt them being the best team every tournament but they never do anything impressive.
No one overhypes Fnc this tournament, pretty sure they learned their lesson last masters. Honestly the only fans overhyping their teams are EDG and 100T that both for some reason have 0 doubt they are the best in the tournament
What you mean? They looked like the best team in the world and easily best in EMEA heading into Masters 2. And knowing their peak and quality its likely they will be strong contender in Champions. So of course any reasonable person is going to expect more from them than 100T. Fnatic deserved their hype, 100T haven't.
I think they just mean that FNC have only beaten one non-EMEA team this year (Leviatán) so they haven’t really earned much international hype aside from being one of the best in their region. They are a threat, sure, but they have disappointed relative to their expectations.
You're just underrating 100T. They have a fair chance imo. I'm a fan of both teams therefore I'm unbiased

Right, so while I think Fanatic will win, I am well within my rights to hype up the team I cheer for and say 100T 2-0 Fanatic 13-0 13-0
this should be a very competitive match, both teams will be extremely prepared with their respective coaches and 100T definitely has huge potential to beat FNC, especially if Will shows up and if bang plays like he did against FaZe.
even as a 100T fan, I think it's safe to say that FNC should be the favorite, but there's a high chance that it'll be a very competitive match that 100T is definitely capable of winning.
also consider that meta shifts can impact teams a LOT. there's a good chance both teams will be highly prepped for pearl unless one of them plans to ban it, and we haven't seen either team on that map yet so who knows what will happen. the chamber nerfs might also end up helping or hurting either team, depending on how they adjust to them.
I don't think it's fair to say that it'll be an easy game for either team, but we'll see what happens.
