So far the timeline has been identical to stage 1. It’s only now where they can change their fate.
Eh hard to tell especially since they went out in groups (obv the circumstances fucked em, but they still were having bad days on top of that.)
My personal opinion is that if all things went to plan roster-wise at M1 FNC would have at least made it out of groups, putting us top 8 in the world.
Considering that we have upgraded in almost all areas as a team, I think we are now in the top 3 conversations with Loud and Optic going into Copenhagen.
Here's why:
At Reykjavik this year, as loads of people have brought up, the top 2 EMEA teams being out of it really had a massive effect on people's perception of who are the top teams in the world. I think APACs performance at M1 2022 is a little overplayed, if you think back to NUTURN at Reykjavik 2021, KR would have been a runner-up. Unsurprisingly that team disappeared off the planet of the Earth. NA and EU mostly underperformed in that tournament, the same as this year. So that removes DRX PRX ZETA from the Top 8 conversation for me. G2 is gone and the rest of EMEA is worse than Fnatic, so say both NA teams are top 4 in the world, which has never happened before.
Therefore, Fnatic is a minimum of a top 4 if not a top 3 team.

i'd say so. Boaster wants to lift a trophy so bad. He's genuinely passionate about the game

It's probably just leftover trauma from previous tournaments where people think they choked coz Fnatic didn't win, for games when they thought Fnatic had it in the bag.
However, we are definitely one of the most clutch teams on the planet!
The last time we lost and I thought the winner wasn't the better team was in Challengers 3 to qualify for Berlin, we lost to like Alliance and some random tier 2/3 teams. I never understood what happenned.
I wouldn't say it's braindead (let's avoid the toxicity), anything could happen. Imagine someone said Fnatic < Kru, before Champs, you would have laughed them out the room.
El Classico Rivalry, hopefully we get to see it again soon. Stage 2 Challengers was peak EMEA Valorant in terms or content for me

Cant say. All depends on Mistic's individual gameplay and Boaster's IGLing
Boaster's IGLing is something I trust in.
Here are some real fair concerns I believe we need to work on:
- Mistic adjusting fully to the new role
- Alfajer getting comfortable at his first LAN event!
- Building on the team synergy and communication with the new additions.
However, Enzo and Alfajer are duoing ranked a lot and are building fantastic synergy. Not to mention Mistic is a very flexible and talented player with great coaching and support to help him.
So regardless, I am very excited about our upcoming performance!

Bad circumstances have greatly affected many of our previous losses.
However, I do believe Fnatic Vs. Sentinels at M1 2021 and Kru at Champions, are two games I felt we lost despite being winnable or closer fought. Again though these were very high-tier opponents. So random choking isn't something we have a history of in matches.
I think your take is a little unfair. Open to other opinions though.
We could be no. 1 in VLR rankings by the end of the Challengers 2 playoffs if things go well!

I think they were on a crazy win streak thanks to dominating CIS and only lost once to Fnatic in Challengers Final for Reykjavik.

Yeah exactly, and since the org is so big I'm pretty sure we'll see them in franchising. Really hoping for a great LCQ run but against a resurgent C9, plus anyone who gets out in playoffs, it's gonna be tough.
The tough part is there is only one spot, but it means that any team that does go will be competitive at Champions
Oh yes I’m very happy about NA in general rn. I think it’s the most competitive region at the moment especially since it only gets two spots and has arguably 8-9 super high level teams
I would say it's 5 with Copenhagen winning potential right now, since there is like no time left almost:
- Optic
- 100T
- EG
- LG
- Maybe Faze
I’d say: Optic, EG, 100T, Faze, and to a lesser extent, XSET and Ghost could all make runs. Put a lot more faith in Optic, EG, and 100T tho.
