is there like a single youtube video that will cover everything
preferrably in like less than 15 minutes
edit: its like an first year intro to linear algebra course thing

cameran [#2]MIT has free lectures on YT
but isnt the duration of the entire course is like 30 hours
BerLINglazer [#3]but isnt the duration of the entire course is like 30 hours
oh yeah shiii i forgot they are hella long lol
you cooked GG
femboyhater [#5]Im sure the school will understand if u write meow:3 for every question
shut the fuck up im serious
mr_sunfire [#9]you are cooked. the only advice that can be given is to cheat on the exam
nah there has to be some youtube video that lets me cram all the knowledge in less than half hour, its literally an intro to linear algebra course
Ross [#13]Lack of accountability at its finest
Surely making meow threads everyday on vlr is more important than his final
Ross [#13]Lack of accountability at its finest
its not my fault that i have shit attention span
BerLINglazer [#16]its not my fault that i have shit attention span
It is most definitely ur fault
BerLINglazer [#16]its not my fault that i have shit attention span
Comical how you don’t see how that was maybe brought about, and the lack of discipline thereof
AkameMNT [#17]It is most definitely ur fault
some people get more dopamine from working others dont, if i can control it ive done it way more sooner
BerLINglazer [#16]its not my fault that i have shit attention span
yeah buddy its definetely our fault and not YOURS
femboyhater [#15]Surely making meow threads everyday on vlr is more important than his final
lmao
My linear Algebra exam is in January. But I guess I can lend a hand to the needy, lmk if you have any questions on:
Vectors Spaces
Linear Independence & Spanning Sets
Basis, dimensions, rowspaces etc.
Linear transformations and matricies
Gaussian elimination
I can probably answer most questions you have on 1st year linear algebra
To at least get the intuition just spam 3blue1brown videos. When I took linear algebra the tests were extremely conceptual
BerLINglazer [#6]shut the fuck up im serious
Yeah seriously you should write :3 you’ll will get 100 marks
wonkeldee [#23]To at least get the intuition just spam 3blue1brown videos. When I took linear algebra the tests were extremely conceptual
thx I’ll check it out
BerLINglazer [#19]some people get more dopamine from working others dont, if i can control it ive done it way more sooner
that's a pretty bad excuse and you know it.
i don't think people have "naturally" bad attention spans. it comes from social media/video game addiction and the constant need to feel some sort of fast-reaction stimulation.
what you should do in the future is train yourself to not want to do something as much. it's okay to be bored. read, listen to classical music, do stuff that lowers your brain activity. this is 100% controllable and it's up to you to fix it.
There would be hundreds of Indian teachers teaching linear algebra
So just search it there.
This ain't search box of yt

idk why people have no problem accepting stuff like some people are naturally good at math while other people are not etc but cant accept it when it comes to things like attention span/natural talent to work hard
im not saying im not the bad one here or anything, im just saying that describing it like its entirely my choice not to study is a stretch

Not the one youre talking to but I definetely WILL be messaging u cuz my ass has been lacking some linear algebra lately

I'm ngl gaussian elimination so tedious, even more than finding the matrix of minors, then turning it into the matrix of co factors and transposing it and then multiplying the transposed matrix by the reciprocal of the determinant
Nats_2nd_biggest_fan [#34]I'm ngl gaussian elimination so tedious, even more than finding the matrix of minors, then turning it into the matrix of co factors and transposing it and then multiplying the transposed matrix by the reciprocal of the determinant
Could be because you aren't used to it yet, maybe you can do it fast enough for 3x3 matricies but good luck trying that for 4x4 matricies
Meteor_stan [#36]does your exam include linear mapping??
honestly I don’t even know
that’s how cooked i am
jackb2016 [#38]just read the class notes
Theres like 500 slides in total
BerLINglazer [#39]Theres like 500 slides in total
@grok summarise in 100 words or less
wonkeldee [#23]To at least get the intuition just spam 3blue1brown videos. When I took linear algebra the tests were extremely conceptual
Yeah my class was just proofs plus a bit of computation which was lowk nicer
Did you learn Gram Schmidt? Cuz there is definitely at least 1 question about that
BerLINglazer [#37]honestly I don’t even know

wow

Inversa 4x4 🤣
go to claude put the material and tell it to explain it to you as if you are a toddler

I made an account just to tell you that I am very similar and have struggled with ts for awhile now. You might want to look into adhd which is linked to executive dysfunction - the inability to execute on tasks typically due to lower than normal dopamine levels. The best solution to this is drugs that boost your dopamine levels. It worked for me, it'll probably work for you.

act like its vlr and write meow :3 on the test everywhere im sure they'll get it

there are certainly some people that enjoy working hard; there are also others that require self-discipline to work as hard as the others.
You lack the self discipline to work hard, hence why you're doing last minute study prep instead of spending the time on the :3 threads studying
BerLINglazer [#37]honestly I don’t even know

incoming failed exam grade
BerLINglazer [#49]ty
meow :3
also did u got banned again
yuh i dmed u on discord :(

i don't think saying someone is "naturally good at math" is valid either for the record, math is almost entirely a learned skill. most people "naturally" excelling in math just had their parents grind it into them a shit ton as a kid (speaking from personal experience).
i'm not attacking you for not trying but self-discipline and attention span IS trainable. just because it's not the best for you now doesn't mean it'll stay forever.

i never said stuff like attention span/self-discipline is untrainable-you said that no one has bad attention span naturally so i just responded to that by saying genetic/natural factor is also a thing in attention span
im just saying that its unreasonable to describe my action as “lack of accountability, my fault” as studying was something that i deliberately abandoned despite the fact that i had a capability to do so

some people are better at disciplining themselves while others are not, some of them might not even have enough willpower to train their ability of self-discipline

just say you're too lazy to study and take the bad grade bro

If you’re serious why u on vlr asking for educational advice

I appreciate the advice. im planning to drop out of uni after this semester and planning to talk about this with psychiatrist.
can I pm you to hear abt your personal experience? (how the diagnosis process went etc)

that's fair, i mean genetics might play a part in attention span so it's not entirely fair to say it's all nurture
it's kinda hard from the average student's perspective to thinking of not studying as not a choice, if ykwim. i suppose it's just me not being exposed to enough people, to know that that exists
in any case I wish you the best. sorry if i came off as too attacking earlier, just don't want to see a fellow student fall down the road that some of my friends did
Nats_2nd_biggest_fan [#34]I'm ngl gaussian elimination so tedious, even more than finding the matrix of minors, then turning it into the matrix of co factors and transposing it and then multiplying the transposed matrix by the reciprocal of the determinant
isnt this just finding the inverse of matrix A?
couldve gotten off vlr and spent time studying but i guess that's too logical
XtraChrxs [#72]couldve gotten off vlr and spent time studying but i guess that's too logical
THATS WHAT I WAS DEBATING SENDING TOO
also if you have 5h why the fuck do u need a 15m video for all i care i woudlve rather had a 4-5h video that actually taught me the material
additionally theres js no way a 15m video covers info for the year round curriculum/topics

no dw, i just wanna say that some people struggle from it, and as i said on the other reply often times its practically hard to simply just train these skills
BerLINglazer [#68]I appreciate the advice. im planning to drop out of uni after this semester and planning to talk about this with psychiatrist.

Yeah sure go ahead.
I went to the GP who didn't believe me in the slightest , just thought I was coping for my laziness. Despite getting top grades and going to a selective school, I felt like my energy and focus was significantly lower than anyone else around me. I could not for the life of me do boring shit like watch lectures or pay attention in class.
I dropped out of HS at the end of year 9 and started to take meds in mid 2025. Since then, I've managed to enter University 2 years ahead of my peers and currently outperforming nearly everyone else in my university cohourt.
The meds allow me to do what I want to do. They will not fix everything but they will give you a chance.
