I get it ... bigger prize pool and more teams...but in the end all events have the same teams going into that event....

I cant take the argument for example Aspas is better than Derke because he has champs......Is still 1 troph in my eye....2 masters are better than 1 champ ...by far....I would even say not all of the best teams in world are there...some qualified and didn;t deserve it(ahem DRX,MIBR)

It's not over glorified but like champs has a different aura man tbh with u especially cause vct year ends with it, riot does always emphasize to make champs different from masters however they do need to make some kind of changes to.make it different in viewers eyes

I dont think its that much of a gap to a masters, but its more valuable simply by bring the biggest and last tournament of the year. Most teams focus on champs over everything and every team should have their final roster and newcomers should be used to the stage by then. Youre simply more likely to see teams at their maximum performance at champs, and you’ll see more teams.

In CS ,Dota and LoL they all talk about majors, nternationals and Worlds...none remembers ESL,dreamhacks or Blast events, or MSI

I can ask you to make the best roster of all time and you would not put any champ winner there...maybe Aspas , but he is not best duelist of all time for me...

exposing the fact that Champ does not make you greater ...just 1 trophy won...surely you found the best time to win it at biggest event ...but T1 winning it is same as EDG winning it for me

yeah it is, I think if you look at it purely from a competitive point of view then champs is only slightly better than masters 2 (since it has 4 more teams and none of them go straight to playoffs). teams try their best at all events so I think it's stupid to treat champs like it's significantly above the rest

As much as certain champs winners' runs get called flukes, fact is that they won a tournament with the best of the best playing

Also sometimes masters will have fuckass formats

Champs is like worlds in League MSI is basically Masters every league player only cares about worlds thats what they play to reach through out the whole year so I think players would rather win worlds and champs than MSI and masters

I feel like it's more to do with the org than the individual players. In basic sense, a team’s performance at Champs reflects an org’s decisions over the entire year, roster moves, coaching, strategy development, player management. Masters still matter, but since they’re based on a shorter span of decisions (a smaller “ample size), there’s naturally more variance in the outcome.

That’s why I feel Champs is more about how the org operates long-term, not just the individual players. The players play a part with their internal chemistry with others, but that's also org-dependent.

I think to make champs better they should let tier 2 be able to qualify for it aswell it would definitely cause some upsets and i think in general more excitement
