Keeping EEIU and Cryo is priority for now?
Thoughts?
although i agree with u on the latter part, i think initiators need to stop baiting. Once they use their util, they have to go in as the second guy in. smokes and sentinels are the ones who should be the ones looking to trade, while initiators should jump in after duelists since most of their util is already used up after an execute.
and on that note.. eeiu is a bit of a baiter true, but he's good enough that his baits are called trades while someone like verno is called a baiter
I understand that in pro-play smokes hold more value over a recon since blocking off enemies line of sight is more valuable than getting info during post plants.
also there is obviously a lot of thought process behind the pathing of a team depending on skill level of players, which is why eeiu plays more trades than someone like asuna. but in general if u see a site execute on teams like Loud 22, G2 in bangkok, GenG during the whole of 2024 and heretics also; scan initiators like riens, trent, and sacy were always behind duelists. once they took control of the site, then depending on whether they play site or mains, they'd change how much the value of the agent is.
G2 plays post plants so trent naturally stays alive longer. same with Loud.
Heretics and GenG had a much more vairable playstyle so Lakia was the one dying more since his skill level isn't that good, while Riens would play for trades.
P.S. Skye does not have rechargable util, neither does Tejo. that's a third of initiators that have no rechargable util.
also would u rather have your sentinel or smoke die first preventing u from getting in the site without the dangers of getting flanked/ entrying without smokes OR would u rather have your initiator throw util and then go in bc there's not much more to do for them for like 40 seconds
if you watch the games you can see eeiu push in with teammates once he uses his util and backs out when the spike gets planeted you can clearly see it from their match vs c9 you bring up skye and tejo they are just irrelevent because eeiu dosent even play those agents and before tejo got nerded trent would just bait the team sit back and use his post plant utillity
all they gotta do is drop zikz bro. i promise you this team will get 200x better if they get even termi. they need actual drills for coordination, feels like im watching a ranked game. dropping kess for an actual duelist like penny wouldnt be bad either imo. then shift asuna to flex and cryo to sentinel.
ALSO GET A PERFORMANCE/MENTAL COACH IF THEY DONT HAVE 1 ALREADY, PLEASE.
Honestly it could be as simple as replacing Kess with chloric and zikz with mCe, both from Maryville.
You get a proper IGL who is a senti that can flex and flex well into initiators which is what they did with Kess except he was a init player forced to flex to sentis, this instead is much more natural and chloric takes up the calling.
mCe is more self explanatory.
Alternatively you can go the 2023 EG route, turn Asuna and Cryos dynamic into Jawgemos and Demon1 (no clue how this didn't happen with zikz there anyway??). If this Asuna takes up Omen and Cryo plays some Astra and Brim when not on duelist or they just double duelist some maps.
If this then you get a flex player like seven or Kyu in place or Zander to basically play the same role as Ethan did on EG.
TLDR:
eeiu
Cryo
Asuna (or Reduxx/Okeanos) duelist that could play Omen
chloric
Zander (or seven/Kyu)
mCe
Why not just get Kyu in for chloric keeping zander around. Zander plays better when IGLing and someone else in the team with a strong IGLing voice/ being a secondary caller might help Zander with the macro and micro of the game allowing both to focus on their games benefitting the team. Also have Cryo play that sentinel/lurker role along with a temporary secondary duelist would be good too, works with his passive playstyle + good aim.
I agree that having both Kyu and chloric could be redundant and the rest of the lineup depends on which of the 2 you bring in. I like Zander in the right lineup but he too can be a bit passive, the new era of smokes like TenZ was and Ruxic and Keiko are. These guys are bordering duelists, they play on this fineline that can be soo effective.
I see Cryo more of like the second person you want into site not someone you want on his own going for lurks or finding holes. This is why his Jett is good but other duelists lack, on Jett he is in first sure but after a bunch of util, hiding in smoke etc he gets to fight with the team more. It's like how in CS you had FaZe sending rain in and you let NiKo clean up following close behind.
