should champs points qual go back to 1 team?

i think it was a better format last year where the top 3 qualified and then the 4th seed was based on champs points
this year theres a world where 2 of the top 4 EMEA teams don't qualify because FNC and TH (both placing 5th/6th) qualify over 3rd and 4th in terms of points which doesn't sit right with me idk

Yes. 2 spots is way too much.

FNC and TH can't both just decide to shit the bed and expect both to make Champs. Stage 2 matters more than any other Stage. FNC did well internationally and that's why they're still going to Champs.

Ideal scenario would be:

• 2 qualify -> Stage 2 playoffs
• 1 qualify -> Champs Points
• 1 qualify -> LCQ

I think it's fair, it rewards being better throughout the year than only in stage 2. For example, what if you were on track to qualify but had one of your key players get sick in stage 2 (like Leaf)? Then, despite you being great earlier in the year, you could miss champs purely by being unlucky.
