i'd say americas > emea in 2022 EMEA didn't even have a team in top 3 twice that year

  1. Reykjavik 2022 should not be included for arguing that "EMEA didnt have any other top 3". FPX could not attend because of war and FNC had 2 subs. If someone wants to use the "G2 (EU) being 2nd seed and getting 5th/6th" argument, OPTIC was 2nd seed from NA for both Reykjavik 2022 and Copenhagen 2022, and they ended up being the highest placing team from NA in all events.

  2. EMEA shit on AMERICAS in Copenhagen 2022. FPX > OPTIC, GUILD > OPTIC.

  3. Rest of NA was so bad compared to OPTIC until XSET finally performed at Champs 2022. SA was literally only LOUD being good, who flopped at Copenhagen 2022.

  4. EMEA Top 6: FPX, FNC, TL, M3C, GLD, G2(EU) >>>> AMERICAS Top 6: OPTC = LOUD, XSET, 100T, TGRD, KRU

  1. and? shit happens. If it happens in the future to americas im not gonna make this dumbass fucking excuse.
  2. head to head really does not matter for who had a better year lol, and also it was 8-10 (and 8-6 if you discount KRU)
  3. sure, the rest of NA was bad, but its not like optic was unfalliable, they lost to Xset, Guard, Version 1, Rise, and EG. The bigger cause was that we sent rookies straight to playoffs twice
  4. sure, inspite of this I'd still say Americas getting 2 trophies between 2 teams including winning the year by winning champions gives them the edge

  1. doesnt matter if it happens to Americas or not. but it changes up the stats and we dont know if FPX would have won Reykjavik 2022 or if maybe Gambit wouldve still been the best team in the world if war didnt happen

  2. fine mb. h2h point was dum

  3. FPX lost to FNC thrice, OGLU, and Acend in 2022. idk how this point matters cuz some games dont matter too much.

  4. we dont know if FPX wouldve won Reykjavik 2022 or not

  1. G2 got sixth, FPX were not 3 spots at an international event better than G2 to make top 3, or 5 spots better to win the event
  2. I'm saying the rest of NA wasn't THAT bad compared to Optic, NA was just full of young and inexperienced teams that saw them suffer internationally compared to domestically
  3. Refer to #1

  1. FPX was way better than G2. Like you can only know if you watched Valorant/EMEA at the time.
  2. ok, ig.
  3. #1?

i watched the games back then lol, i've been watching since before first strike, Paper rex beat G2 harder than FPX did
(FPX won 55.6% of rounds, PRX beat G2 winning 60.5% of rounds

#29
sentinelmain377

Frags

idk why round % matters

but this makes FPX look better
FPX > PRX (who shit on G2, making the gap between FPX and G2 larger) >>> G2

#31
Psion

Frags

because it was a bo5 vs a bo3 we can't directly compare, so I used round win%
like even theoretically if FPX > PRX
thats still 4th
they weren't beating zeta on their miracle run

#32

the way you argue is bullshit: just look at this:
https://www.vlr.gg/85523/g2-esports-vs-zeta-division-valorant-champions-tour-stage-1-masters-reykjav-k-ubqf

also, ZETA wouldnt even have the miracle run if not for FNC having 2 subs lol... u might be baiting

If war didnt happen, GMB and FPX would prob both be in Reykjavik 2022 and they wouldve taken FAT shits on OPTC and LOUD in that event

#13

agreed, Optic and Loud may have been the 2 best teams of the year but the gap between them and the rest of the teams in their regions was huge. EMEA while not having the same peak, did not of the America's lows.

#15

it most certainly did, it just had more teams in the middle

#16

it didnt
even BIG and Fokus were good teams (unlike today's emea lows), but idk if u watched their games or not

emea also had bangers like these, which sadly emea doesnt have anymore:

well..., ig they are an outlier (the only)

but they didnt qual for stage 2
and stage 2 of 2022 in EMEA was so good

but some NA teams were way worse bro, let alone BR or LATAM teams (excluding LOUD LEV & KRU) at the time

#21

which team did worse compared to them?? what?

#24
Psion

NA was relatively similar at stage 2, the bottom of Group A was TSM (beat 100T who made champs which shows parity) and TGRD (literally #1 seed of stage1)
and group B was close with C9 being positive on rounds yet going 2-3 and SEN had to have rawkus sub for sick, and they won their only map in the 1 series sick played

#47

LDN UTD (OGLU) beat FPX (EU) who also went on to win Copenhagen

ur point on TSM beating 100T is stupid

are you ok? my point was that they were similar in regional leagues, and you countered that by showing a similarity?

sen > geng
prx > loud

top 4 at madrid was even between NA and apac.

But 3rd best NA which is NRG/LOUD is better than drx.

but mid of the pack team like rrq is better than americas mid of the pack like g2.

but the worse 2 apac teams are not better than the worse 2 NA teams (although this one is not clear and could change)

W mans
Before franchising
EMEA had a total of 19(20 if you include FPX being absent at Reykjavik 2022) slots
AMERICAS had a total of 35 slots

Sentinels Players :

johnQT : Morroco ( EMEA )
Zekken : Flipino ( APAC )

40% of your team is not even of your region and EMEA has always been dominating region , whereas Americas always have different team winning.

0 consistency in American team
