So many people have such strong opinions on both games that its just kinda dumb at this point. Im going to js state the obvious, CS has-

1. More Players
2. More Viewership
3. Community pieces implanted into the game (Stickers, Maps, Skins)
4. A market
5. More Game modes
6. Better graphics (Js my opinion)
7. A diverse community that co-exits together

Valorant has-

1. Devs who dont listen
2. Very opinionated topics
3. A huge level of complexity
4. Balancing problems
5. Cash-Grab tactics
6. Minimal representation of Esports teams
7. No Re-Play system (Its been four years bru, we got a non-binary character before a much needed system in the game)
8. A community that spreads hate (Yall argue over non binary characters, how good or bad maps are an you hate on eachother for it, its kinda petty)

At the end of the day, both games have there flaws, both games have there ups an downs, but truly if you guys still wanna argue bout which one is better, just look at everything Valve has done for CS, there community, there esports and there game, then look at valorant

More players in Europe* way less everywhere else. Watching CS is like watching Soccer man. There is some representation from other regions but it's mainly Europe because they have 85% of the player base. Just not as interesting.

CS is an older more household name, so more viewership and players is an unfair point.

Market and skin stuff is honestly down to preference, I don't want to pay hundreds for a butterfly but also it has no real life value.

Both games communities don't coexist lmao, I am so tired of the whole which game has the more toxic player base. EVERY SINGLE TEAM BASED GAME HAS A VERY TOXIC PLAYER BASE. that's just what some degen children and "gamers" do sadly.

CS also have devs that don't listen, I mean this game hasn't actually changed in years.

valorant gives 50% of profits from some bundles to Orgs, and most updates cater to making the pro scene better, so imo that's pretty good improvements to integrate esports into the game.

I prefer Valarante because FPS games are like anime battles, CS is too realistic in my opinion, it's better to play airsoft guns at the same time.

I haven't played CS2 so some things may have changed however my general issue with cs is how much specific game knowledge it requires.

Having to build muscle memory for spray patterns, flashbang lineups, smoke lineups, movement mechanics that allow you to access certain areas of the map is something that never resonated with me. If you refuse to learn these things you are extremely limited in your play. To me it's quite stupid that I can have a better understanding of crosshair placement, better aim through using aimtrainers and not insta crouching and still lose many fights to people who just memorised some flash lineup or spray pattern that will never come in use if they play any other game.

What I like about val is that when I play an agent in val (I main smoke and duel ik things are a bit different for initiators) I am not limited by technical skill but rather my understanding of the game, I can use my util anywher near me and it is about how I visualise it helping me or my team win the round and not whether I can throw some specific lineup.

CS2 is better in being very liberal in some aspects, like community stuff
but Valorant is way better in everything else. Just the fact that i just need to press PLAY and i find a match with good anticheat, good servers and good mm system, its already good enough to be better than CS
