The Latin American org has signed aspas , arguably the most sought-after Americas players of the off season. The announcement follows the expiration of Tacolilla 's contract, with the Brazilian duelist joining as a direct replacement.
aspas joins Leviatán Leviatán Latin America South Unranked following a two year stint on LOUD LOUD Brazil Unranked as part of one of the most successful cores in VCT history. The team was created in early 2022, dominating Brazil and debuting at an international LAN with a second-place finish. To cap off the year, LOUD bounced back to win Champions 2022, with aspas being MVP of the grand final.
To start off 2023, LOUD reached the final of LOCK//IN in front of a Sao Paulo crowd, then dominated the Americas League and the playoffs. aspas was MVP of the League, ending the split with a 1.23 rating. At Champions, they knocked out tournament favorites, FNATIC FNATIC Europe Unranked , being one of two teams during the year to defeat them. Unfortunately, it was a bittersweet revenge, as they would lose their next match and fail to defend their title, exiting in third place.
Due to a fairly good international debut and the acquisition of their direct rival's best players, Leviatán started 2023 with sky-high expectations. Most considered that they fell short. In spite of top placements in every tournament they participated in, they failed to qualify to an international event.
