Secret held momentum coming into the series after a dominant win over Gen.G, while ZETA narrowly avoided a loss to RRQ with a gruelling overtime victory on Ascent.

ZETA chose to run Laz on Chamber throughout the series and he proved to be the linchpin in his team's success. Laz's Chamber had yet to be seen in the VCT Pacific league but had previously worked wonders for ZETA in their run to third place at Masters Reykjavik 2022.

“Chamber is my best agent,” said Laz.

The first half of Lotus saw ZETA take absolute control of the match with a 9-3 half powered by hero plays from Laz, crow , and Dep . The trio provided both clutches and high-impact kills in the first half to immediately place Secret on the back foot. With their individuals showing up at every opportunity, there was little Secret could do to slow ZETA down as they conceded the first map 13-9.

ZETA put up an even more impressive performance on Fracture. A close first half was merely a precursor to complete dominance from ZETA once on the offense. Despite winning only a single gun round on Fracture, Secret frequently won eco rounds, providing a modicum of hope for the Filipino squad. However, ZETA won seven of the eight rounds in the second half to take the second map 13-7 and the series 2-0.

Laz ended the series with a 1.39 rating, nine first kills, and 176 ADR. Laz's MVP performance in the series was accompanied by an exceptional performance from crow. Normally one of the quieter players on ZETA DIVISION, crow ended the series with a 1.35 rating and provided crucial multi-kills on both maps.

Laz's Chamber is back

ZETA are now one best of five away from a spot at Champions and will play in the grand finals on Sunday, July 23. ZETA will possess a two-map ban advantage in the grand finals veto due to coming from the upper bracket.

Team Secret drop to the lower bracket final and will face elimination against the victor of RRQ and Gen.G tomorrow.
