MiTH didn't look like themselves after the group stage concluded. There was a month break inbetween the group stage and the playoffs and MiTH ended up heavily underperforming (perhaps the 7-0 result in the group stage became their Achilles heel and they perhaps didn't prep for the other teams as much as the other teams prepped against them). MiTH were still solid, but FS and XIA looked like they had good reads and were so much more disciplined than they looked from the group stage. Also, Kadoom had a bad tournament, the dude is absolutely cracked and just unfortunate he couldn't turn up when they needed him the most.

XIA ended up have to play a BO3 and a BO5 in the same day with a 30 minute break (dumb format) to claim their ascension spot so they deserve the respect for having the grind. They looked good, their star players xZe, siraphop and al3rt are insane (al3rt is a little inconsistent, but his peak form is incredibly scary). LBY is their IGL and he had a good tournament in the playoffs which I think was the key. Rolex is a CSGO veteran so he has that competitive experience to guide the younger players on the roster.

In the playoff, MITH just lose because have a lot of whiffing shots even though their setup is so very good but the FPS game aim is 70-80%.

I doubt it, MiTH looks far better when they're on their game. I don't know what happened. XIA impressed me considering their prior form, but their strategies are still far too lackluster and they seem a bit disjointed at times. Their headcoach is also doing this for the first time so I don't know how experienced he will be in terms of counterstratting, setting up executes etc. but he sems like the type so focus more on fundamentals like communication and trading rather than elaborate strats.

That being said, I think XERXIA have great mechanics and now that they've proven themselves on a national level, I hope they put in much more work than before to strategise and familiarise themselves with the meta since their gameplans are still far too basic and uncoordinated for my liking. Also, when listening to interviews, apparently their headcoach just started 1 day prior to their first game in Split 2 in addition to 2 fresh faces in xZe and siraphop (which may experience the rocky 4-3 result in group stage) so there can only be improvements from now right?

I think XERXIA can potentially be a dark horse of this tournament (+ I hope it's a crowdbuff not a nerf and I think they have a decent chance of making it out of groups), but I still have BLEED or DPLUS winning it (MiTH would've been in the top 3 had they not choked).

I think myself and most Thai VALORANT fans who follow the Thai VCL are incredibly sad and disappointed with the fact that MiTH didn't qualify (But you can imagine if the fans are disappointed, then how disappointed must the MiTH players be). They've been dominant for so long and they felt like the 2nd best Thai team that could fight on the global scale. With XERXIA qualifying, it feels like our hopes of getting a 2nd Thai team in the PACIFIC league has effectively been dashed since just from watching XERXIA, I do not think they have the caliber to win Ascension just yet. Regardless, I do like the XERXIA players and I wish all the best for them since they are the only THAI representatives after all ~ I WANT THEM TO PROVE ME WRONG, and I am praying to god they cooked up a bunch of strats since the finals of Thai VCL cause otherwise I don't think they stand a chance unless they just out mechanic everyone.

TLDR: XERXIA look decent but still lack too many things in regards to strategies and gameplans, as well as shaky trading and disjointed executes. MiTH looked miles better prior to the playoffs and it seems they had an off tournament after the month break from group stage. Twas a boring game, but happy with the win regardless. I think both teams still need so much work but I think XERXIA's mechanics prevailed today and at the end of the day, the game is a shooter first and foremost.
