wtf is this bullshit, why tf is the most important tournament of the year for tier 2 APAC scene will be decided in a single elim playoff bracket???
we want the best team out of the VCLs to play in the Pacific League, like the single elim feels like teams can fluke out a win into the league man idk I don't really like this

im agree w you, maybe in Lock//In is all good, its the first event of the years and its like an introduction.

but on a bo1 everyone can win, maybe they have a better map and its unlucky for the other team, maybe bc they use to permaban that map. OR just lucky and 1 from the other team chokes and can't recover bc its only 1 game, idk i dont like the idea too much...

it's most likely due to logistics reasons
Americas only has 4 VCLs, while EMEA and PACIFIC had a fuck ton of VCLs, that's why AMERICAS can afford of being fancy with their format

yeah thats the only problem of being EMEA and not only EU, we have 1 vcl for each country (spain, france, germany) and then you add the egipt vcl's thats a lot of tournaments

I mean guess it doesn't really matter even if the top 2 teams are facing in the quarters, because we only need one team after all, but the grand final will be best of five, I feel like teams can fluke out best of 3s as we see many times in the franchise leagues, amd the double elim will at least make sure that the top 1 and top 2 to duke it out in bo5 grand finals to decide which team will play inthe league
