I see everyone saying that sen only won because their was no competition in the beginning or optic only won because emea was nerfed and now finatic
Are their only fluke wins or they deserved it?

I guess the case with Sen was...the meta was still evolving and they had it figured out then...I mean that doesn't make their win a fluke just that their players weren't good enough to keep up with the meta and produce constant results.
Same goes with Optic.....great team and their star player being extremely talented was able to abuse the Chamber meta...is it wrong?? Obviously not...but they couldn't carry the momentum too
Till now....only Loud seems to be a Major winner that is still carrying their past momentum

saying optic got carried by yay and Marved is like saying LOUD got carried by Less and Aspas. They were very competitive both before and after Reykjavik and weren't a free team by any means, if course having standout performances from their star players helped, but I genuinely believe that Crashies and Victor are both excellent players and FNS is a great caller. I am repeating myself but saying that a team is carried by 2/5th of their squad is crazy, there is not enough duels in a pro game to drop 60 every series leave the Optic team alone.

I don't think any of the wins are flukes. Calling something a "fluke" is just coping.

SEN fell off hard after winning but their win was very much earned
If FPX/full FNC was at Iceland 2022 then maybe things could've been different, but Optic still won fair and square
Lock-in counts just as much as the others, everyone was there and FNC was clearly the best team there.

maybe emea bias here but i think 2022 iceland would have very different if fpx and full fnc were there (also GAMBIT if they didnt choke against g2 but thats a different story)

If there is any invalid tournament its lock/in: it had the least competitive format, it had brand new teams with no info, and it had an unstable pro meta. But all these wins deserved.
