SEN vs Nuturn I called this 3 days ago but was scared about getting downvoted by NA fans. If Lakia gets his vitamins before the game and pops off, SEN will have a tough time, if not then 2-0
How do you even get stars? By getting upfrags? (and if so, is there a way we can check progress towards how close you are to a star)
this is not a major though. The year end is the 'major'. These are more like MSI in league of legends
A major is any tournament held by riot themselves worlds is more than a major

It very well could be. It would just be really funny if it was NA in upper finals. I think EU could still make a lower bracket run. Honestly NA and EU look like the best regions and I'm feeling pretty good in predicting an NA vs. EU grand finals
Really the only team here who can win a map against sentinels is Nuturn. They can pose some problems in Bind or Ascent. Sentinels ain't dropping Icebox or Haven against anyone. And split is a banned map anyways.
That's why people say SEN is the favorite to win. They are EQUALLY GOOD on Ascent and Bind. I think SEN Bind game is super overly underrated simply because they don't play it as much. I have watched their last 3 bind matches and it was also a massacre like other maps.
Nuturn overrated (by ppl here). They beaten sharks (which got rolled by KRU). Nuturn haven't really prove themselves yet in this tourney IMO. If anything, I'd say we should rate Nuturn same as KRU currently, since they performed similarly against the same opponent

Even though Nuturn is very good, SEN is just so adaptable I just don't see a world where they lose.

It doesn't matter which they ban, they will basically guaranteed lose Haven or Icebox, so they have to give a hard fight on ascent and split

yeah but sen has an insane icebox and nuturn just aren't gonna be strong enough, they might do it because they've been bad on haven though. Regardless, their ascent, bind, and split are all really good and they could do pretty well against sen and if they make the finals i could see it being a close series
The fact that NU sucks on both icebox and haven is a real disadvantage. It's a insta map guarantee for any yeah that faces them. Should they get risky with it and ban haven instead of icebox?

Idk man Sen got duked on pretty hard on icebox against na teams in masters. I feel like they are better established on haven though Shaz TenZ Jett reyna has been looking nutty against international teams.
no bruh teams like 100t and ABX only won against sen on icebox. It is one of their weaker ones imo. Their strongest is UNDOUBTEDLY ascent with a 82% wr and weakest is ofc split
Recently sen have been on fire on icebox and inserted tenz better on the team especially on lan. Their icebox is definitely really strong. Their split has been weaker but its still very good and ascent I feel is sometimes hit or miss for them, however they are really strong on every map
My prediction- nu bans icebox, sen bans bind, sen picks haven, nu picks ascent, split left over or nu picks split with ascent left over. Either way sen wins haven and Nuturn will have to put up a great performance if they want ascent. Sen isn't the best team out there on split so it's probably Nuturn's best chance. Nuturn had a hard time against V1 on ascent (15-13) and though V1 has come a long way after na masters, sen did 3-0 them. So I'ma say SEN 2-0 or 2-1 depending on whether Nuturn picks split or ascent. Looking forward to seeing Kr's nutty ability combos match up against sen's aggression.

Idk if anybody saw the post match interview or not but solo and suggest talked about expecting match against SEN and being eager to play them.
I have a feeling they watch them closely and know them inside out. This, imo, will be a VERY unexpected 2-0 NU. Close but 2-0
but at the same time sen got a extra day to look at nuturn and read their strats and plan new things because the way sen players were confident going into the tournament i really think that they prepared alot of new strats but cant underestimate nuturn.
2-1 cause SEN prob going to lose Ascent. IMO SEN should honestly ban Ascent; idk why people are saying SEN are good at Ascent when they got stomped on by V1, who lost Ascent to Nuturn. If SEN bans Ascent, then they'll have to contend on Bind, which I think isn't even that bad. Yes, Nuturn's Bind is apparently rlly strong, but people seem to forget that SEN had a drastic agent change recently with Astra and Viper, and since then they've basically crushed in every Bind map; SEN is rlly strong as Bind as well, so it's a tossup to me on who'll win on Bind if they do play it.

This is either going to be a banger or a choke-hold delivered by SEN. SEN play very well against exec heavy setups, I think it depends on whether NU can manage to midround and slow things down, then time their execs in a way, where SEN has no idea what their exec is.

I have watched every single SEN game for the last two months. People underestimate their Bind pick. They have always won Bind when it matters.
usually teams dont like bind because the lack of a mid creates a lot 50/50 plays where you tp x5 and its probably the best map to pick if your a worse team and want to win a lot of rounds. its a real puggy map and the thing is sentinels arguably has the best individually talented players in the world so they will always squeeze out the win
nuturn have had a LOT of man / number advantages just dissolve out of nowhere. they really need to trade some of these.

It's actually good that they lost. Imagine both NA teams qualify for finals. Fans from other regions are gonna be disappointed. The fact that they beat Liquid with a stand in is already impressive. Now, EU can only advance one team to Grand Finals.
oh yeah i'm not discrediting V1's run with a sub but as an NA fan and player it's pretty easy to fall in love with SEN rn

Ugh disgusting team mechanics diff. So many of these 1v2s are just pure skill difference, Sentinels looking so fucking good.
btw SEN saw the oldskool comp of them and knew none of their strat will work with Viper/Astra combo.
lakia is the only player that plays to his potential this tourney on nuturn....
the rest are underperforming so hard, can clearly see them being so nervous cus their aim is so shaky and off

i feel like NUTURN finished in top3 just because of luck with the brackets.
How was it luck of brackets? On the contrary they had a difficult bracket as they faced "major regions" (those with 2 slots) beating teams from Brazil and NA.
It all started with those weird quarter-finals pairings. For all the "NA vs EU hype" the organizers basically 'made' these ridiculous seedings, where SEN/fnatic/Liquid/V1 had to play each other early. Meanwhile NUTURN luck'ed out with the Sharks pairing, the second worst team in the tournament. The fact that teams like Vikings, Sharks and X10 got straight into Upper quarter-finals, while fnatic and Version1 had to play an extra match just to get there (and paired against Sentinels and Liquid), is really really strange.
The bracket made a lot of sense to me. The regions with dual representatives, the second seed team had to play one more match than the first seed teams which is very logical.
Their win against BR certainly wasn't luck. Against V1? Yeh, they got a bit lucky, but V1 were lucky in some rounds too; I think that just means V1= Nuturn
as soon as I saw NUTURN weren't running astra or viper i knew it was over + no sentinel on haven
