You are giving way too much credibility to Zeta with their ass coaching and terrible management. It's more likely they just didn't spend the money to buy them out from Riddle and Fennel.
I hope at least DFM takes one of the players, those were by far the 3 best Japanese players in tier2 this year.
yatsuka is riddle’s 3rd best player btw, he’s young so the potential is there but it makes sense to think he isn’t tier 1 ready yet. I too disagree with their changes. I think getting caedye was a must, and honeybunny(?) hasn’t shown to be anywhere near tier 1 ready
Yatsuka was by far their best player in the tournament leading up to Ascension. Seoldam doesn't count since he is a lan choker, Caedye has good aim but makes too many mistakes individually. I watched them all year, they played pretty bad in split3, so I didn't really expect anything in Ascension.
- Their best player that tourney was Seoldam, although it was close. it was a 4-team double elimination bracket, all it takes is playing 1 or 2 games over your usual and your stats are gonna look good. Caedye just wasn’t in form at the time . Riddle Order’s 2 best player the whole year were caedye and seoldam.
also, Riddle were so much better at the start of the year when they were much more one dimensional comp-wise and role wise. Now it’s like they have a whole different identity every map and they just couldn’t get a good map pool because of it
they swapped comps every single split and completely fucked up the meta for Ascension. Their roles weren't clear at all, having 3 different duelist players in one tournament. The igling and coaching took a dumpster dive in Ascension for no reason.
I checked the stats, Yatsuka had the 2nd best stats for the year in Riddle with a 1.08 rating in 1414 rounds played,
first is Seoldam with 1.16 and we know he choked both Ascensions being just incredibly stupid and losing them games on his own.
Caedye had a 1.05 rating, he is close to Yatsuka but he wasn't near as clutch.
Yatsuka is just the better player by default just with him making less individual mistakes and having imo the better agent pool. Both are flexible players and very hardworking, wouldn't be surprised if they make tier1 at some point in their career.
Pretty sure they prefer to play in T2 rather than move to Korea and play in T1
there is no way players like Aace and Yatsuka wouldn't want to play in tier1 with how much time they spend to actually to make Ascension in the last two years.
The roster also just doesn't make any sense since they have no igl? who the fucks igls on that team with 4 Duelist in Dep, Absol, Honeybunny and eko???
DFM and Zeta just need to combine rosters at this point to even have a chance against PRX, RRQ and the Korean teams

The roster doesn't have any igl and 4 duelist players, my god eko got kicked for not being able to play any other agents on Neon on a high lvl. I would fucking cry if this is the real Zeta roster
Yeah , I'm aware which is why I didn't intend to say anything at first lmao. I know zeta has horrible management , but they're not that stupid.
with how JP fell off this year I wouldn't be surprised though. Our last hope is dfm and their history is even worse than Zeta
