use 1600x900 for 1 min and you will see why it cant be used. Mega blurry, more than 1280x960

4:3 is very easy to find nice crosshairs but something about 16:9 every crosshair does not feel exactly right. In counter-strike its very easy to find something equivalent to 1411 in valorant and it feels good but 1411 feels so easily lost in all the colors in valorant . 1422 is godhair in this game and really does feel good but its just slightly too thick and without an outline is easily lost. Lot of pros like 1420 cross but cross is for noobs you need a gap. 1313(sinatraa) crosshair feels good on close maps with phanton but on icebox/fracture it feels horrible long range. NiSMO uses 1421 but it just feels bad when your not on point. Went down to 1600x900 from 1920x1080 and the xhairs feel much better in dm. Genuinely every crosshair on 4:3 looks good and reminds me of CS but 16:9 makes all the colors pop more and its so easy to lose your crosshair without an outline. Thoughts? Also, any dot/boxhair/etc is bad n shit.

I mean they could have got anyone else other than shahzam's friend, they have tons of connections in the scene and I don't think Dani and Rawkus are the individuals they choose to play with IF they want to win. From their play we could all tell its just for fun and the team looks like its falling apart

posted about a year ago

Rawkus I can understand subbing in but D A N I ? It's not like they don't have two world class top players on the bench in sinatraa/zombs? Shahzam decides to give his T2 friend the opportunity to play in a MUST WIN match over former teammates that have previously taken the team to championships...lol

ooo ok, thank you for responding! I love learning about all val regions

ty for answering that's interesting, I'm watching the current match between GA and Oblivion Force and in the in game comms I can hear I think OF coming in English as well as chinese. Do Taiwan and HongKong/China have different dialects?

Does anyone know why these teams tend to switch their players around so often?

I like zander a lot but its much less his lurks/controller play that attracts me to him no less makes him good. I think people recognized how V1 got instantly better with him on it, his igling/mid round calls have actually taken a lot of the space in the current meta. The instant retakes V1 do and the double intiator(no sova) on some maps were really impressive/influential. Also zander's aim is really up there for being igl yet I feel a lot of his credibility goes out with this tweet: https://twitter.com/effysgo/status/1505765750522449924?s=20&t=k3l6VnSebyUIMnlHXq2PiQ
not sure if its true though.

Couldn't tell you whos better but marved is playing insane right now and has always been really good yet always underrated

posted about a year ago

one of the most underrated if not the most underrated player in NA, originally picked up from the Faze squad that just was known for holding W and not lasting long. A lot of people questioned why marved as a replacement for Kaboose on NV/Optic, well now we know. Guy is probably the best smokes in NA rn

how do people complain about steel and not hiko? The guy stays alive last literally every round and when he clutches 1 in 10 rounds people are shocked, hes decent at best when playing at his peak and offers nothing to the team in terms of IGLing or strategy. I'm sure the main reason as to why he was picked up was because he had a huge name but now that the team already has its popularity I don't think he'll be on the roster for any longer than 6 months. So many great sova players to pick from on the free agent list and if you ask me any one of these hungry 16-19 year old kids would clutch just as much if not more than hiko.

Don't assume things, I never said I liked unfair advantages? I'm just saying its important to acknowledge the skill and game knowledge it takes to find some of these exploits and that some exploits have ended up as being a part of the games. Lot of cyphers utility is definitely not used the way its intended, such as trips in various places on bind/ascent that are unshootable unless through a wall(or even placed on small microscopic bumps in the ground)and even KJ mollies that go through floors where you can't even shoot them b4 hand. Be civil.

posted about 2 years ago

I'm still in the belief that players using bugs to their advantage within the rulebook or not should be acknowledge for their ingenious findings. The fnatic olaf boost, the fountain hook, bhopping in CSS, iceclimber grab in smash, etc. Some are better for the game then intended like balanced bhopping in csgo or wave canceling in smash but all require skill to use.

T2? that team has only ever competed twice...

posted about 2 years ago

definitely not expected to lose to a team that was made a week ago and has hardly played together, this being the first time they go far in a tourny

posted about 2 years ago

Hard to rank teams when they havent played in months and a large majority will come back with huge roster changes/gameplay changes, this ranking could not possibly apply to this very moment as we have no idea of what some of these roster's playing 5 will be so if anything this is just and old ranking based on the challenger's finals from 2 months ago( I am guilty of this as well)

posted about 2 years ago

Honestly eg is on the lower end of T3 teams, they barely compete anyway I just consider the roster inactive

posted about 2 years ago

they don't get anymore hate than other teams its whenever they do people think its targeted especially if their doing bad. TSM has got ravaged for months and 100t got hate as well. When your considered Tier 1 in another region and then just see yourself consistently losing to NA's tier 2 scene its going to get you hate. People will say bad things as long as their is bad things to say but if you play well people won't say shit, its almost as if people talk shit as a form of lazy criticism. T1 get hate every game they play and nobody complains your soniqs team is no different and will get hate as long as they lose but if they start WINNING and displaying dominance then people will hop on the bandwagon and cheer with you guys

i agree with you somewhat but I also don't think players on any other roster can fit vanity's playstyle as V1 does. They may not be well known players but they are super flexible and hardworking which i'm not sure C9 B or other roster have. Vanity picked his roster for this reason and that is why their comps and work ethic are so vastly different than other NA teams. They can implement the astra/viper/kj because of the players flexibility and willingness to flex so i'm not totally sure if he had lets say all the best players on C9 B he can have the success he had

Expecting rng here vs teal seam, brimstone, OOKERS, or Soniqs

posted about 2 years ago

agreed, coaches are also a viable asset when assessing these teams. If we look at the improvement Faze made trippy must be given a lot of credit. Also, on NV I don't really see what they need to get that extra push but maybe -kaboose would help and including a second caller/more firepower and diversity would help. NV has always been in that top 5 but no more no less, they beat every team in that contention at least once 100t, sentinels, and etc but they can't ever win when it matters the most

  1. Shahzam
This one obviously is not a surprise he has managed to topple every team he is faced with and also puts his players in the best positions to frag. His antistratting capabilities were in full effect at iceland and his mid-round calls as well were exceptional. Following in the steps of his former team captain and igl seangares he is probably going to be recognized as one of the most cerebral players in the region for a long time.
  2. vanity
Yes, I am a V1 fan but I do have a good reason for this. vanity without a doubt has proven himself a leader and within the top 3-5 in NA. Not only is he a consistent innovator as his father steel but his capability to find ways to upset and upset till people realize he is not upsetting anymore but simply outplaying and establishing him and his roster as the better team. He has the structure of 100t/NV but always manages to just edge out the win.
  3. FNS
The poster boy and NA standard for a great igl. FNS has the consistent structure, comps, and plays that has managed to always push NV into that top 3 contention. Beating 100t and XSET last Challengers were serious feats to be impressed by especially considering the 100t hype that favored them to win the tournament.
  4. steel/nitro
In regards to this duo and 100t I am not entirely sure of who exactly igls and when but when listening into their comm videos we can see that they both contribute and therefore both should be mentioned. Although, having a poor performance in Challenger's finals and not qualifying for iceland we cannot take away from this team's consistent dominance and strong play. I don't think(as others are) that they will be leaving the top 5 anytime soon if anything I expect them to come back stronger and better.
  5. Honorable Mentions
Many teams although extremely good in my opinion do not really have those igl's that win them games but rather guide them team in a direction that they need such as xeta, rawkus(trippy, their coach, is worth mentioning here as well) gmd, jcstani, NaturE, rossy, hazed, and etc. I do think one name on this list that I am sad to see not blossom is Dazed, although struggling with T1 for a looong time in their most recent performance they put the Faze train in reversal and also had Sentinels on ice it almost seemed as if the team was about to be very competitive and then they decided to(which I disagree with) remove Dazed although I am unaware of their plans. Daps is also very much appreciated knowing that with a good bunch of 4 he can instantly root a team up into the top of NA consistently.

pugs=t side
matches will be ct sided, did 10 mans(imm lvl) on the map for a week before it was released to comp and can definitively say it was ct sided

EDIT: Not by much though we will have to see. Both of the site's main entrances are choke points that can easily be coddled with shit(viper orb B/viper wall a). I think mid will be used a lot on this map to make up for it.

Interesting to see how these teams play without Renegades in the mix. Finals definitely going to have Soniqs vs some other team, would be disappointing if they got upset but I would not be surprised.

screenshot? I don't see it. This is good news for me I live in the soflo area

EDIT: after some research Miami servers have been available to Latam players for a while not NA

posted about 2 years ago

its exactly what c9 did, once you have that structure you don't need a insane igl just someone that can do it for the most part as the team will be able to work with each other from the structure that was developed. It's def tough for igl's in valorant theres almost no room for someone who can't at the very least decently frag because of all the talent in this region/the game itself
