G2 quickly became a household name in Valorant when the organization signed a core that dominated the European landscape, earning themselves several Ignition series titles in the later half of 2020. The upset ultimately triggered the first of many roster shuffles over the coming months, but the organization was never able to quite find the same level of initial success. The organization was reportedly in the running for a slot in the Americas partnership league, but last-minute controversy ended such prospects.
