No one got given a “free” slot in the LCQ, that was based on series points which ORDER had to qual through OCE teams then play APAC teams. The style of play in APAC compared to OCE is vastly different too and any OCE pro will tell you that. There definitely isn’t a lack of skill either it’s a lack of exposure you moron.

Lil bro doesn’t even know how apac lcq works 💀💀 The top teams from APAC standings qualified for LCQ. OCE didn’t have a team in that top but Riot gave them their own path to LCQ. Literally free slot in APAC LCQ and it got wasted on OCE.

Yeah because previously we were supposed to be in the NA LCQ and Riot royally fucked that one so gave us a slot in APAC which should have happened from the start. There was finally a path for OCE and I definitely think along with a lot of other people that there should be 1 slot for OCE, there is definitely a scene here and definitely ALOT of insanely good talent.

Well in NA, only one team stood out this year and that was OPTIC. And in Champions the "NA" had 3 teams (OPTIC, XSET and 100T) while in the BR region there was only LOUD (not counting the LATAM). 100T didn't make it past the group stage. XSET was dropped in the Lower Round and OPTIC was dropped by LOUD. According to the year yes, OPTIC got better places in championships, but loud was superior in champions got their rematch against optic and only lost against kru. I don't think NA deserves 6 spots but only 3, 3, 3 to be fair. For the LATAM is very strong (KRU, LEVIATAM + another),
BRASIL (LOUD, FURIA, MIBR OR NIP) AND NA (OPTIC, THE GUARD, SENTILES**).

While I don’t think we deserve every slot in every region, I do think we should get 12

6 for Americas, 6 for EMEA (and that’s really just to give a chance to develop minor region EMEA, EMEA realistically only have enough talent to build 2 T1 caliber teams)

Most don't realise how big EMEA is and just think of it as EU. EMEA has loads of talent to make multiple T1 teams not just 2. Especially with new up coming talent and CSGO pros moving into valorant we might see some known CSGO pros make valorant debut. Teams like NAVI signing for franchising could have the possibility that even the likes of S1mple enter Valorant.

so much can happen, all depending on Riot and how they handle it. Given how many slots people regions desire its seems too costly and wishful to even have a 30 teams tournament.

NA is going to have transfer wars. With teams like Optic rumoured to not make franchising it's likely they will get disbanded or just be bought by another team. TSM not finding success is most likely to buy out the whole roster in case Optic is unable to make it. TSM got the money for it. It will be a shame to not see the Optic players not play Tier 1 like they deserve.
