Normally I wouldn’t hesitate saying Tenz, but that was before this tournament. If we had to take only into account their current form, Tenz is crushing as usual but Babybay looks TRULY unstoppable.
Imma say Faze 2-1 for the first close game these two teams will have to play since the beginning of this tourney !

SEN has been consistently a top team throughout Val esports (even now with tenz) but I have too much faith in the smeag style of Babybay
Sen 2-0 I think sick will shut down the smeag and without the smeag faze is not nearly as good

Tenz and Sick will shut down Babybay. Look at what SEN did against thief from LG. There's only so much you can smeag Easy 2-0 for the SEN boys. They have never lost to Faze and don't plan on doing so on Friday
This is a different FaZe than they fought before, these guys haven’t lost a single match in a while.
i agree they're a different team. but so are the Sentinels. Faze are just so much more reliant on Babybay then Sentinels are on Sick. If Babybay just feels a bit off or smth, it's an easy win for Sentinels. Faze just has to hope for Babybay to dominate. Also, Faze basically has only played Icebox and Bind as their last few series. Faze will ban Split and Sen will ban Bind. Sen has a higher chance to win Ascent and Haven then Faze has to win Icebox and Haven.
rawkus zacharee are liabilites for that faze squad. for sen you could argue it's only zombs. sen overally has better aimers. tenz>babybay sick>corey shahzam>marved sen win all the aim battles, UNLESS faze is feeling red hot
Zacharee has super good timings for flashes and assists Babybay and Corey a lot. Rawkus seems to have pretty good positioning so he can get shit done even if his aim isn't as good as the rest of his team

you can't be the best team in NA after winning Challengers 3, btw which the top4 teams weren't even in, and beating xset and envy. like it doesn't work like that lol.
I mean... here's why you're wrong.
1) Not the best of logic, but Envy were considered by many to be the best team in NA before FaZe beat them. Beat the best and you are the best.
2) Sure, after they beat NRG and T1 teams weren't putting 100% in. Didn't stop them from absolutely railing LG and 100T, both of which are top 6 teams.
3) No one's putting up numbers like babybay and they're riding a streak like it's insane. After beating 100T, LG, XSET, and Envy all in a row you can definitely be considered the best in NA.
4) Who would be better? Sentinels? They have even more to prove! Lost a map to LG, barely beat 100T. Meanwhile FaZe crushed NV. 100T? Just lost to sentinels. NV? Just lost to FaZe.
You can make an argument that Sentinels are the best but it's not as strong as the argument for FaZe right now.

- they don't win challengers 3, if the 4 qualified teams from challenger 2 were there. you can't call them a top team bc they won a tournament without the top teams. they looked good but no.
- sure they're riding a hot streak and babybay is looking insane but lets just look at player comparison

Sentinels pug and go for aim duels a lot, but not as much as Faze do rn. Plus Sentinels have much more set strats. - and sure, faze are a much different team than before, but faze has never beaten sen. they've been wiped 2-0 everytime. this has to be taken into consideration even tho they're a different team
I'm not denying Faze bc I do believe in their hot streaks and that they're a solid team. But all it takes is Tenz and sick to shutdown Babybay like they did to other top players throughout this tournament and Faze becomes nothing. Corey can carry a bit but no one else on that team will.
Also, map selection, it would be Ascent Heaven, and Icebox. IDK the order but SEN win Ascent. Haven is a toss up and so is Icebox but with practice with Tenz this week, I believe SEN will become the better team on those two maps.
Good points, all I'm gonna say is that FaZe has a ton of synergy and are palying better together since they got their coach
I would just say that, if a team can beat NV comfortably and then beat SEN as well... that's top team business right there.
Of course, the 'Best in NA' will always be in flux. But, this could be Faze's moment at the top of the pile.

FaZe's current playstyle is a mix of EU and NA, and it's amazing. Not only that, but babybay is looking insane rn. 2-1 FaZe.
Faze is on fire this tournament , if babybay and corey can keep their form they have defiantly a chance to beat SEN even SEN is the best NA/World Team imo

yeah they are on fire, but the maps they've dominantly played, icebox and bind. sen bans bind first off, and sentinels are not weak on icebox themselves. yeah faze r undefeated on icebox but it's not like sen is slacking there. the maps just don't match up well for faze, that's my point. plus, u give sen an extra week to practice with tenz and run their defaults and sets. i get the hype but if anyone is to stop it, it's shahzam and sen.
You're still caught up in the FaZe of old. FaZe are a LOT better now. corey and babybay were always good at aiming. That's not why they're better. They're better because they're organized in chaos. They are the current best team in NA in terms of synergy and trading. They work off of each other to an extreme degree, something they probably practiced a lot. They've played against other teams where they lose individual fights, but I'm telling you right now, FaZe should be the favorites for this match.
there's a reason why on thespike.gg, 73% of people have chosen Sentinels to win while only 27% for Faze. Faze can ride a hot streak but my question to u is, how long do you think they can ride it for.
FaZe bans split every time and picks Icebox/Haven every time. Judging by Sen's performance against 100T and assuming they're not going to just be insane in a week's time, FaZe should win Icebox and Haven. One of them will be banned. Bind/Ascent will be the real deciders.
sen was riding a 15 game winning streak on haven before envy beat them in challengers 2. they're the best team in NA on Haven without a doubt. so no, Faze won't take that map.
Second, Sen gets a ban too if you didn't know which means Bind is getting ban. Ascent is the decider here and Sentinels are better on Ascent, there's a reason they're called the Ascentinels. If the maps were Icebox Bind and some other, I would give it to Faze, but as it seems, Ascent, Haven, and Icebox just favors Sentinels.

NV is solid, I'll give Faze that win. 100T, XSET, LG, T1, and NRG have all been bad in 2021. Don't even get me started on T1 and NRG. 100T have an identity crisis rn and can't win for their life, XSET started off hot but just aren't on these top tier teams, LG also is a solid team but they're just getting read so easily by teams now. Like you're putting so much weight on challengers 3, and faze had a good showing but you literally can't weigh it that much with all top 4 teams out.

I think these 2 teams have just about the same chance of winning, just depends on whoever has the better day XD
I think this series could go either way. My guess is Icebox will be the best to watch since its an aim map so FaZe will be great on it, and Sentinels already have proven (minus the LG game I think) that their comp is very good on this map. Either way I think this series is a 2-1 not sure who gets the 2 though.

The flexibility and skill from the core of tenz, sick and shahzam are insane. Coupled with solid anchoring from dapr and zombs, they just seem unbeatable right now. Just a treat to watch.
