It is nothing, I remember watching interview with CEO of NaVi and he told that prizes is just nice addition, but it's not main income at all. However, even tho prizes itself doesn't matter that much for the income, obviously the more wins your team have the more popularity it gains, that means more fanbase, more invites, more merch, sponsorships and all of that converts to the actual income.
The only esports where the prize pool really makes a difference is Dota and LOL where it’s not In the thousands but in the millions.
tldr: prize money is not where money come from for player. money come from sponsor, salary, merch, etc

Even though it's a seeding match, the result is important to get an easier run at Masters.

I think that the seeding aspect of this game doesn't really matter because either way, they would have to go through Envy(likely) or Sen(likely) in the 2nd round and then the other in the Final so I think the prize pool is more valued than the seeding. Also Xset and IMT are both top 5 teams so, again, either way it's a tough road to Masters 2.

You start down 1 map already. You are playing for an extra 2000$ per player before taxes. So for steel, he will make $1000 difference between first and second.
