I was hyped for Bonkers until I saw them play against Persija....then I realised that whatever rep OCE sends needs to be at least 10x better than Bonkers. I hope ORDER is that team, because tbh I was not impressed by Bonkers. Maybe it was because they were playing with a sub though.

i think its ok to overhype them, since they are in a similar position to GE back when they were overhyped. The OCE region and the SA region dont really get that much exposure compared to other regions in APAC and the hype will most probably encourage ORDER or other OCE teams to improve and live up to the hype, similar to how other SA teams improved rapidly after GE failed to meet their fans' expectations.

The reality is that they did end up beating Damwon fair and square and got an extremely close game with F4Q.

If you believe TNL could not make it then there is also the argument that VLT could not make it cause SKRossi popped off in the finals.

VLT is just in general a much more well rounded team and would definitely not have lost to PRX 13-0 (they even beat PRX in scrimms on some maps) and, they would not have thrown the 1v3 round that ended up costing GE the win against F4Q.

no the reason why tnl couldnt make it is cuz they always had to face off against VS early, and since there wasnt a lower bracket, they got 0 points. anyone who followed the scene then knew tnl was the 2nd best, stated by VS themselves. sure ge beat damwon fair, but do you really think a repeat would have happened? reality is skrossi popping off was the only reason GE came close/beat these teams, they would have faired much better against a well rounded team.

Actually vlt back in the days (2020) used to do pretty good against SEA teams one of the reason for our downfall is because we were kept away from the competition for a very long time. We didn’t had any official vct circuit, weren’t allowed to participate in sea 3rd party tourneys it was in LCQ that a indian team got to play a international tourney for the first time 2021

APAC had a normal growth tragectory (they refined the meta from year 1 of valorant) and corrected mistakes they made while shifting from CS/Overwatch/Fortnite.

SA on the other hand has stagnated. They are just like sentinels using the same concepts from 2021 and very slow to adopt to the new meta.

Even today you see extensive use of Sova. Jett is also being replaced just this tournament.

When they try to adjust to the meta themselves they are just bad.

GE having the potential to beat top Korean teams - there was and is only one top tier korean team and that is DRX the rest were and are still way worse than DRX(close score lines against drx dont mean shit when thats the only team you have to prepare for ) these Korean teams wont stand a chance against tier1 SEA teams too but delusional koreaboos wont admit it (until APAC North)

tho best SA teams loosing to Tier 2 SEA teams is bad it by no means shows that SA fell off
SEA teams have always been good and it will take more efforts by SA to improve on the previous results

Damwon, F4Q and Nuturn were all ranked above the average in APAC LCQ.

Damwon, also defeated PRX, your tier 1 SEA team.

While your tier 1 SEA teams were struggling against Nth one of the lowest-ranked teams from Japan which was also arguably the worst region coming into APAC LCQ.

Things were different during year 1, VS was still not as dominant. They lost to F4Q and nuturn a couple of times. They did not even make masters 1.

Year 2 however looks much better for SEA, DRX seems to be the only good team in Korea and the rest are far below.

Let me also remind you that GE and VLT used to easily manage to beat teams like LVR (now bleed) and other T2 teams. The only competition was PRX, X10 and Bren. It is only recently that they have started to lose to literally no namer teams.

What else would you call this? It is clearly not keeping up with SEA or in other words falling off.

The Order that’s going to the APAC playoffs is a lot different than the one that lost to Bonkers to be fair
Now they’re pretty much an OCE superteam, especially since they picked up rDeew, which was Bonker’s best player, and Wronski who is probably OCE’s best talent atm
GE, on the other hand, was never really a superteam and the hype around Skrossi alone was x10 that of what Order is currently getting

Overhyped my fucking ass. Go ask some of top 8 teams in SEA and they'll definitely say we could be a contender for the masters slot. We are scrimming them on 120+ ping and making it close and even beating them. Every top SEA team we have scrimmed has high respect for us knowing the damage we can do on the ping we have yet alone what we would do on low ping. We are not like Bonkers or Soniqs and it takes one vod review to see that. I hope to change all your minds when the time comes but for now have some respect on our names.
