CS VALORANT

VALORANT will never be as big as CS bc CS much easier to follow, to enjoy VALORANT you have to play it to understand it, much abilities going on and shit, CS is straightforward so any casual viewer can understand whats going on. Only way Val van be bigger is if it gets a HUGE playerbase like league of legends

Meeeehh...
Id say it definitely has more Asian fans since theres 10000x more representation (and theyre actually good at valorant, too). I can imagine waaaaaaaay more Indians, Japanese, Koreans, Filipinos, etc watching Valorant than CS.
NA is possible since we are so bad at CS that we have so little people getting into the pro scene and less people watching every year. Although id say not yet, probably more CS fans still. But definitely in the future NA Val fans will surpass NA CS fans in number.
Brazil is a hard no. You should understand that.
EU CS Is like at least 10x bigger than EU VAL i feel like, so definitely not.

The reason I follow valorant is because I love the game <3 not because of it's popularity. VCT groups has much less viewers than PGL right now but that doesnt stop me from enjoying it~

its funny cuz valorant is the first fps game i ever played and ive been watching some matches of the antwerp major and i dont know wtf is going on.
without the barriers that val has i dont understand where you are, where are you supposed to defend, i dont know the maps to understand whats going on or if someone is flanking, etc. also the maps seem bigger and more complex than val maps. having no bullet tracers really throws me off lol.
what im trying to say is it doesnt matter what game are u playing, you wont understand it if you never played it. you understand cs because you played it.

ima be real. you're a fucking clown and trying to pit two games against each other is a clown move. they can both coexist without you neckbeard fucks trying to compare them. at this point, it's just different strokes for different folks. many things you can do in valorant differ from cs and same can be said vice versa.

there is top left minimap lol, also the xray vision you can see if they are flanking or not.

for new viewer, valorant also have same issue, but there are like 100 abilities + their interaction with each other to know about to know what is going on

#27
Darkzeccos

it's probably just because you don"t know what the maps are like

let people enjoy watching what they like man. I myself enjoy watching both, but more invest in Valorant cause I play the game. People have different tastes. And not all people like to watch CSGO, you're right about ''easier to follow'' but not everyone enjoy watching it. Some people like Overwatch, Apex because its faster than CSGO

CSGO turning into a one region game definitely hurts the game's popularity

I could see val passing CS in viewership just because the game has more regions than just EU

#39
AverageJoe
-2
Frags

unpopular opinion, but Val viewership is heavily inflated by watch parties. If they don't allow watch party (like league), or if popular streamers stop following val, then viewership will be at least like 30% less

#41
Danny
3
Frags

I don't see an issue with watchparties inflating viewership tbh

especially since valorant hasn't developed as good of casters as other esports yet

#42
wowzerswow
3
Frags

i disagree, ppl said it would die when shroud stops costreaming and he stopped and its still the same, the streamers dont make the game big, the game makes the streamers big
