Yeah it is crazy, and I think it's not only because Sen and G2 are really good. To me, watching the other Americas teams usually feels disappointing, even when they aren't playing Sen or G2. The games usually have a ton of mistakes, chokes, and overall slop. At least NRG are giving me some hope for a 3rd good Americas team now

Dark horse != fluke. A dark horse is a team that you think could legitimately go on a run, while a fluke is a team you think is not good enough who wins anyways because everything breaks their way. Double elim doesn't remove dark horses, only prevents fluke wins

That's gonna be tough. From my personal experience, GT cares more about your SAT/ACT scores than anything. It might have changed now, but clutching up on the ACT was what got me in.

For Corrode I think you could argue EDG, they've tried several comps and won 4/5 times, including being good on both defense and attack sides. You could also argue Sen too

As an EDG fan, I have seen first hand how your path to top 3 at Champs can vary hugely in difficulty. EDG had an easier path to the UBF, with their only huge test being Sen in UBSF. That being said, if Sen can get a decent group and the playoff bracket works in their favor, I see no reason why they couldn't make the UBF, and then Zekken or someone goes crazy for 2 matches.
