I wanted to also include Masters since they both played in two LANs so I'd rather just set it to 1900 or higher(just elite teams) and show the multiple events together.

On awping specifically how exactly is Ardiis better? Eyetest and statistics both favor Cryo. Ardiis is more flexible and his team had more success but ardiis got suygetsu and shao while cryo got ayrin and bcj

The only three I can really think of that had international success with multiple teams are
Koldamenta, lead G2 and Guild to their best ever performances in different years, as well as having been good with Acend before his original transfer
Saadhak, did pretty good in the first international LAN with Vikings then went on to win champs with Loud
Vanity, made top 8 with C9 at champs after being the only other NA team to qualify in Stage 2.

Those are really the main ones, bnj qualed for 2 separate LANs but I believe one of them wasn't as an IGL, Paura was great with the OG Heretics and SMB but apart from these guys it really doesn't happen very often.

With Scream and Nivera TL have the 2 best players, and L1nk>dreamas/kryptix and that team is for sure better seeing as they actually have a duelist and even IGLing

DISCLAIMER
this is not the best individual players, but the highest peaks of singular players during one of the 6 LANs. I'm not saying Tenz>Yay all time. Also no repeats so Yay would be on here multiple times

  1. Tenz 2021 S2
  2. Chronicle 2021 S3
  3. Yay 2021 S3
  4. Nats 2021 S3 (All three of them could be 2-4 those were their peak tourneys
  5. Pancada 2022 Champs
  6. Shaz 2021 S2
  7. Sacy 2022 Champs
  8. Marved 2022 S1
  9. Sick 2021 S2
  10. Aspas 2022 S1
  11. Shao 2022 S2
  12. Less 2022 Champs
  13. cNed 2021 Champs
  14. Sheydos 2021 S3
  15. Suygetsu 2022 S2

It actually kinda hurts their overall performance that they only performed really well in 1 grand final each(maybe you could argue Yay had 2 cuz he carried them against GMB but still) and Crashies apart from s1 2023 was pretty bad in the other 2, and Victor was pretty meh in all 3 lol

posted about 2 years ago

I personally remember Starxo being the most consistent and best player in the Ace v GMB matchup in champs '21 but cned is def the most pop off guy on that team.

posted about 2 years ago

I really wanted to put him on and I think you can make an argument for him in multiple directions which is why I put him as an HM. He played really well but only played in one final and lets be honest the teams they played against were not even close to what guys like GMB or Loud guys had to play. I had to put him somewhere though which is why he is in my HM

  5. FNC Alfajer(owns FPX and Zypaan)

HM Derke when D3ffo's job is on the line

posted about 2 years ago

Fnatic had the biggest roster improvement of all teams, C9 has the highest ceiling but it's hard to pick against Navi or DRX when they returned rosters that were top 4 at the end of the year(only difference being cned).

posted about 2 years ago

Pancada went from unknown outside of Brazil to the MVP of the biggest tournament all year, it has to be him. Plenty of other guys have been great but Cryo and Alfajer are IMO the only two who could compete with Pancada.

posted about 2 years ago

Nats for sure but peak Dapr and Suygetsu were also very good at the role, as well as currently Less and Alfajer as up and comers. It's kind of a dead role in NA but EU still has guys like I mentioned and players like Nivera and Cender. NA, especially in franchising, quite struggles with the role since most IGLs play it but Leaf looks like he could be very good at it, Stellar was really good on LAN this year and Wippie and NeT will be very good on it in ascension.

Argentinian, same reason I didn't include NZR

Who would you rate as the top 15 BR players since last year? Apart from the obvious top 4 it's hard for me to know who BR fans right the highest. As a much more casual viewer I'll try to make a list myself.

  1. Less
  2. Sacy
  3. Aspas
  4. Pancada(any of those can be 1-4)

Tierbreak

  1. Mwzera
    6.Xand
  2. Heat

Tierbreak

  1. cauanzin
  2. dgzin

Tierbreak

  1. rglm
  2. qck
    12.khalil

Tierbreak

  1. Tuyz
  2. jzz
  3. frz

I've also heard good things about matheuzin, k4non, and ryotzz

LMK who I'm rating too low and who else I should look out for. My main one i didn't know how to rank was Tuyz cuz he's had flashes but he's in a completely new role on a super well structured team so he could be anywhere from top 8 to top 20 imo.

posted about 2 years ago

They still have a top 3 IGL ITW and 2 of the best fraggers at their own positions. The other 2 are questions marks for sure, especially Tuyz, but I think they'll be similar to how they were seen last year. Contender early but not gonna win it all, but by the end of the year if players like Tuyz and Caunazin step up like Aspas and Less did last year they could for sure win it all again

Who would be Turkish ppls preference for the S2G fifth?
Werlaas
JN3
would both be good for the initiator spot but they kind of need a Raze player so maybe Lauzen or VPNCNP or even keeping Fivestar. Also Toronto is a name i remember being good at Raze that was Turkish but IDK if he's super washed now.

posted about 2 years ago

That's for sure the team that in general I wish I could've seen on LAN. Poised the long running IGL, supamen whos solid and 2 insane fraggers who are on this list. I kinda wished they had made franchising and picked up one of the insane initiators to see how good that core would do.

posted about 2 years ago

T3txure probably would've been a good guy to add to this list.

posted about 2 years ago

The obvious one is Sinatraa so that doesn't really count, but it's crazy that Dicey nor Babybay have gotten the chance to. Moose stands out as one of the most consistent guys to never do it, and peak Wardell would've been a treat to watch on a LAN. Hazed and EEIU from NRG both also seem like guys who would've been fun to see but never got the chance. And though neither probably are quite at the level to say the "best", Genghsta and Corey both are veterans who have been around so long it seems like they could've

Cloud is for sure the best EU player to never make it, Molsi also has a case as does Jady. Boo is similar to hazed as he seems like the best IGL to never make it from EU, and guys like 7ssk7, f1tinho and twisten also deserve a shout.

I know less about the minor regions but txddy and deryeon stand out as long time players who never made one. RGL is prob the best BR player atm who hasn't made it and Skrossi is the most notable APAC player for sure, and he has an argument for the best to not make it alongside Seoldam.

posted about 2 years ago

For NA/USA IMO it's entry flex players. It's by far our deepest role and though Marved and Yay were our two best players last year the controller and awp role goes very downhill after Bang and Cryo.

For Entry tho, they have Asuna Zekken Victor who were three of the top 5(debatable) entry flex players in the world this year and all have pretty good agent pools and strengths.

We then have Leaf and Jawgemo who both were probably better individuals than victor in domestic play despite bad team teams.
Zellsis and Xeppaa are all both good at the role(though Xeppaa is for sure better at initiator) but there's not enough space in franchising for them to play it over the other 5. Similar story with guys like s0m, sick, and tenz, they're good at the role but because of other players are forced off of it.

Then in T2, Nismo is absurdly cracked, Babybay was insane last year, Saya doesn't really count but was great as well. WIll was awesome at the end of the year, Penny was cracked in the first stage and will prob be great on G2. Mada and Corey were both up and down last year but still have immense talent.

That's about 15-18 people right there, and that's before you get into the up and comers like Oxy, Clear, Snirot, Reduxx, Sym and guys who used to be highly rated but because of the hard market to play in had to switch roles or retire like Android, Shawn, Dre, Shot_Up, Neptune.

The role is extremely deep in NA and the only one that you could make the argument for is initiator. I'd love to know what individual countries you would say, tho, as off the top of my head something like sentinels for CIS makes a lot of sense, or Raze in BR.

posted about 2 years ago

oh thats quite a cool team, hopefully they find a good fade player and another fragger. Not as in tune with the T2 Turkish scene but re1sxd and Leu seemed quite good in that campus clutch thing and the REG Reazy and Werlass guys may be poachable as well.

IMO Guard should be the pure favorites coming in, Tex is an obvious downgrade but I think people will be pleasantly surprised by his duelist capabilities with his best supporting cast he's ever played for. Add that in with Trent and Valyn being the two best players in ascension this team is filthy.
M80 have the highest ceiling but I don't think they win, more likely they do well and guys like Zander, EEIU get poached.
Of the unsigned teams Ex-Soar has the most cinderella run potential, Oderus is only a year off being the next big IGL and Thief and Epathy are cracked out.
TSM will be the worst of the notable signed teams, Hazed is one of the better IGLs here but Corey/Seven is a bad fragging duo(and I'm saying that as a huge corey fan) and I don't think the old Gen.G boys are enough to put them over your Faze or SR type teams.
City Boys will also be ass and Paincakes will be one of the biggest What If? IGLs of the T2 scene(that is to say IDK how he hasn't been picked up by an org yet but this current team just keeps getting worse and worse every roster move)
Of the true T3 players and teams, I see Team Reckaroo being signed by the end of the year, Tech being the next Ban Oxy Jawgemo type duelist player, Playboi Joe will be on a huge org by '24, Jona and Lear will headline an Akrew type org in 2024 that does well with good backing, and my big prediction is that Snxper and Lin(shoutout Virtuoso former duo) will be seen like Trent and Bdog were coming into the year and have huge rises to the top of T2 and eventually Tier 1.

I don't even really count IW as a turkish team but I guess ur right. I know nothing about S2G but I'm guessing the team they currently have isn't gonna be their 2023 team

posted about 2 years ago

Coached RNG for a while but the team was nothing special then did a bunch of stuff with some other T2 teams. Seems to have a solid mind for the game just hasn't been given a T1 opportunity, I can see it going really well or i can see Secret being bad and he returns back in a years time. I think if he even gets them to top 6 APAC it'll be seen as a success, tho

posted about 2 years ago

ya idk why Izzy would stay with SMB at this point, seems like Parla and DA are gonna be the 2 best in Turkey for ascension

posted about 2 years ago

Not fully on topic but this is the first time this team has looked promising in over a year and somehow they fumbled skylen and xistou to DA. IDK how they will rebuild but they actually looked like a good tier 2 team before that.

Jcstani fits better as a co or secondary IGL, would've liked him on steel's team instead of Exalt or on one of the two good f/a teams like ex-soar or DHBK

Using Flynn's most recent spreadsheet the names that stand out as not being rumored or signed to a team are
Effys(somehow getting zero respect despite having the ability to play a high level at the support role for 2 years and being open to IGL)
Aproto(can play smokes and certain sentinels at a high level, kinda got screwed over in comparison to the other ex Ghost)
Android(can play entry flex and sentinel, still quite a good fragger)
Skuba(how tf do people still underrate this guy)
Will(struggled with 100T but popped off like crazy in his last LAN and still has something to prove)
JDM(I know people don't seem to love him but he made FaZe a lot better this year)
This would probably be the best roster you could make atm, I'd also add
xxif
genghsta
curry
poach
kanpeki
As guys who weren't as impressive this year who deserve another shot

As for up and coming guys who I didn't see there, I'd love to see the return of

Who are seen as the best Turkish IGLs? Most people have a good idea of the top 8 IGLs in EU but I have no clue who are perceived as the best current or all time IGLs in turkey. From what I've seen it seems like Paura is probably number 1 all time from his time on Heretics and early SMB but atm is it MrFaliN and Qutioner?

According to earnings it is Fut Esports, TSM, and Faze but I'd love to know what everyone thinks. I think Faze/Rise core is a pretty good call as they nearly qualed in both LCQ's and S2 Faze this year was insane. IDK if you can count that as one team though but that is the only core that has not made a LAN but has gotten top 4 multiple times.

As for pre VCT teams that were the best its def Heretics from S1 and First Strike and TSM from First Strike and before. I definitely think if we're doing a top 5 Faze Heretics and TSM have to be there. If we leave the main two regions Game Landers and Damwon are the two major ones. Gamelanders were the best team in BR for a while, and Damwon was one game out of LAN's like 2-3 times back in 2021. Those would have to be my top 5, but Fut between S1 2021, First Strike, and VRL finals deserve a shout. I would rank it as

  1. Faze
  2. Heretics(I would say them 1 but Faze has longevity, peak Heretics was for sure better tho)
  3. TSM
  4. Gamelanders
  5. DWG
