For This Year alone , it has to be LATAM
No offense to KRU but they need to widen up their map pool , ascent is the only map they managed to get double digits on.

With all the respect I’m not very sure why Jp would be very ahead of LATAM, okay they beat FNC, but I would only accept that in case they beat NiP today or at least put up a really good fight. If they get stomped again then LATAM still > Jp imo
im not saying ZETA is good or anything , but for KRU to start adapting to this newer meta since they have outdated af comps with pheonix and their only "good" map is ascent
If we evaluate only VCT regions, probably japan. However, I think MENA or SA is worse than JP.
i like bonkers but man these guys were terrible, like it was kind of disappointing to watch their games live. I look at them the same way I look at Japan though - with hope they'll get better.
Depends. Are we talking for average team talent, or peak team talent in each region?
This changes a lot for different regions, but to be fair some regions have a MUCH LARGER talent pool, like I'd imagine Japan falls off hard after Zeta, and Zeta being peak talent is already not great, but their population/pool of players is slimmer, with a population of only 125 million.
EMEA on the other hand has around 2.2 billion people, and the fact that they're not really ahead of any region besides 1 team in their region is pretty bad. They have 4x the population to pool from than NA for example.
As of this year, LATAM had the biggest difference since last year in terms of results at international events (which imo should be the ones counting to do a real measure between regions), so wouldn't be crazy to call them the lowest right now.
All the other regions have been kinda consistent in their average level. EU still on top, maybe not dominating but still there, NA in the brink, KR, JP, APAC doing something similar to last year (maybe APAC growing, but Xerxia isn't a surprise since they were X10).
And some people may hate me here, but maybe BR is the opposite example to LATAM. They have shown growth considering they didn't do that much in the past international tournaments and now are looking better.

KRU ain't a region. Don't be dumb. Leviathan got crushed by NiP and in the LCQ Australs got crushed by Furia and the other teams couldn't even get out of the Groups.

Considering all regions, it is probably MENA. They have a big mountain to climb in order to compete with EU/CIS/TK.
MENA for sure, but if you consider MENA as a part of EMEA, it will be LATAM or JP (China can be also, but they arent in VCT)
