have agreed to buy out Tyson "TenZ"
Ngo's contract with Cloud9. The deal reportedly was a "seven-figure deal". Sentinels have since come out to confirm the report.
The Masters: Reykjavík champions have been playing with TenZ on loan since March as a replacement for Jay "sinatraa" Won, who was suspended by Riot Games following allegations of sexual abuse from his former girlfriend. Most recently, sinatraa was handed a six month competitive play suspension from Riot last month.
In their post-grand finals victory interview at Masters: Reykjavík, TenZ made his thoughts on the roster that he had been playing with clear, saying he felt "right at home" with Sentinels and expressed a desire to continue playing with them, saying "this is the best team I've ever played on".
Cloud9 Founder and CEO Jack Etienne clarified some points about the matter in a reddit post, saying that the deal involving TenZ's contract had already been completed before Masters: Reykjavík. He also mentioned that the reason the deal had not been disclosed to the public prior to the event was because Sentinels "wanted to ensure nothing impacted [the team's performance] during the event".
