This sentence is grammatically incorrect. First of all, formerly is spelled incorrectly. In addition, there should be semicolon between the words "2020" and "the team". You cannot connect two complete sentences with just a comma.
Unfortunately, M3C failed to replicate their success in 2022, they didn't qualify for any international events and fell short in the competition to the disappointment of many fans.
The same can be said for the above sentence, as there cannot be just a comma between "2022" and "they".
