2022 or 23 is a Derke Aspas competition with Boaster and Alfajer and Less and Saddhak somewhere in the mix + the Chron stories but not in 25 or 26
2025 we got the ethan dual champs winner but in 2022 he wouldn't even exist as a contender
So there is no goat of valorant at all
It doesnt matter that oh look Aspas got this K/D or Look Ethan has this much impact or Look TenZ won 2 tournaments or Look Boaster is so consistent. I dont give a fuck the Meta may kill them next year so lick it.
Its why you never truly know who may win a tournament. Lev were expected to be grouped cuz Neon nerfs and spike, but they won London. Mostly everyoneexpected Team Heretics to win Champs 24 but EDG made the cinderella Run, No one saw NRG winning champs 25 and expected FNATIC or PRX to win cuz of their performances.

honestly just a cs frog take, vct needs an era. the villain empire. Every team feels like a cinderella run or a feel-good story but then they fell off and become ''meta abusers''.
Literally the reason teams win is cuz they find a meta that works for them and run it hard
yeah and it just feels weird for the narrative. Like I want to get into vct as much as into CS, but the representatives of regions change every fucking time, I don't even know what a good team is as a new fan. There are good patch teams, and bad patch teams, but then I will hop in on a stream 2 months later during champs and some team I haven't seen this year is dominating

lowk riot need to chill with so many updates, or just don't change the meta this drastically, let the teams and scene build themselves imo. 2023 was enteraining cuz you had the big teams (fnatic, loud, prx), and the underdogs (eg), so there was this distinction. Rn it's just a mess
because there is no dedicated statistics website in valorant, cs has hltv and soccer has all the awards

meta is changing almost constantly, there wasn't a back 2 back winner since 2023, how do you even get 2-3 top 1s??
in valorant its difficult to consistently to be at top, because its not just aim game there are lot of factors. in cs its difficult to clear an angle like if zywoo holds an angle when you clear it he just goes to next off angle(cs has lot of off angles), but in valorant you can just use util to clear without even seeing the player, which makes harder to kill someone. and there are other stuffs like complex map ,limited util and gun mechanics( like noscope awp)
