You can throw as much money into an event but the vct circuit is still universally considered the superior event
the best teams are playing and its a huge prize pool in the middle of the vct season, thats literally what a masters event is
there is no fungible difference between masters london and ewc 2026, same top teams will play for even more money

if most of the world think a masters is more prestigious than ewc then a masters is more prestigious than ewc, it doesn’t matter if there’s no “fungible difference” (even though there is in multiple facets)

the only reason why people are saying this tournament is mickey is because its new. literally happened to cod fans and now they respect ewc now
COD is different because the scene is garbage and has a 12 team league, ewc is by miles the superior format and on par with champs
The players themselves have expressed that it means more to them to win a masters or champs because that is their true goal, etc is cool but if you asked any of the the team heretics players who won last year they would trade that for winning a masters in a heartbeat. The tournament therefore doesn’t truly show strength because the best teams like nrg or lev are not putting their focus into these games, it doesn’t matter to them and it hurt teams who did try last year.
wrong. there’s no champs points involved, it’s not in a closed circuit, half the teams aren’t trying cause they have an ACTUAL international to prep for, there’s no reason to watch EWC unless your team wins and you desperately need bragging rights or something.
if people can argue lockin was a competitive event then i dont understand how any other format would be considered less competitive than that

yea, except the qualifiers are held online and are much shorter, and (at least for last year) bo1's are used in the format.

check event and then filter with VCT u will see masters regional champs and ewc. if u dont click vct u will see Valorant Radiant International Invitational SOOP etc etc it says a lot about mickey specially when its only TIER 1 team if there was any tier 2 team like red bull new york maybe but there is tier 1 team only big prize pool true the production is shit cuz its online and next year vct will be the same but once they go to paris it will be better ig and its there second year thats why the production is shit
