He is anything but mid, in Kickoff he was one of the best controllers in the region. He has shown multiples times to be able to compete but people are so quick to hate him when we aren't even losing??? Like I would understand if we were struggling a lot and felt like changes were necessary but it was very clear that he just had a slight drop in form, that is now picking up again.
the thing isn't just about winning, it's about actually competing for the trophies which liquid isn't a place where they can because they have an incompetent & inconsistent smokes player when they could pick up someone better for the role and actually be top contenders for the trophies. He's a dead weight to the team. I could say the same thing about purp0 for his kickoff performance but he's actually showing signs of massive improvement so he's in the clear for now

I've been a liquid fan for so long and I really want them to win a trophy
even tho purpo wasnt popping off very much, he had amazing util in rounds, was "impactfull" and he actually comms in round, which helps nats. Wayne just wasnt in the game last 3 games, a walking smoke placer with no comms
Wayne has still had good util and impactful rounds, and lets not act as if purp0's util was allat in kickoff, there were multiple times when people were questioning why TL didn't just pick up a traditional initiator instead of purp0.
you know that purp0 is known for his initiators in t2? he played skye/sova/kayo during his KPI years and looked like the best player in t2. His favourite agent is skye, which is his best "comfort pick", he looked bad on skye only because they didn't expect him to play initiators in liquid.
Before m8 series, liquid won a single round on waynes back in 4 other matches.
At kickoff, purp0 was good but he wasn't in his current form. The mixing of the roles also didn't really do him justice but I still remember people saying purp0 should be dropped for someone who can actually play initiator and now he's one of our best players. Wayne having a rough stint shouldn't be used hate on him when we clearly know it's not because he has a low ceiling. Even in the previous games, you could see he was being put in difficult situations. I have watched every single tl game, multiple times in fact, I have to ask HAVE YOU WATCHED OUR GAMES?? or you just someone who looks at stats and says Wayne is shit like everyone else in this thread
noway you have watched last two series vs fut and navi and say that wayne was playing. today wayne looked amazing, but this is the first in the whole stage 1, if he keeps this form, its amazing, if not off he goes
Bro trust me i watch every single liquid game and when i say wayne was not good im not just hating that guy was throwing his omen blind towards the sky plus i dont give a fuck about frags you can do your job decently and get 0 kills and i will praise you for that but he was legit lost in the previous matches and today he looked decent but did not drop a masterclass and imo liquid is not an org who should wait for a player to fully develop and improve with time we want a trophy already we dont have time

I’m perfectly fine with how he played this game. Of course stat watchers won’t be. But I don’t really care about that. Considering how liquid is using him which just isn’t his play style and restricts how he can take fights I don’t mind how he played today.
