Lowkey I was baffled going through it I thought fs there were gonna be more than 8 teams that went to internationals

Pacific has always had the most bottom feeder teams tho (besides China) so ig it makes sense

Hoping for GE and DFM to make events ngl

DFM ik is just a pipe dream tho

its crazy that the only region with a tie in first place is the one that gets one team region allegations

i mean its not like emea doesnt place high or win games like china, we just dont win trophies, we have the same number of grand finals appearance as americas, one less than apac, last time i did the maths (not including this year iirc) we had a very slightly worse average placement across all years since 2023, but equal to americas 2024 and apac 2025, average placement for 2023 is hard cause regions had extra slots and lockin existed etc.

is it just not based off of placements though?

what placements though? ppl were calling emea a 1 team region at fucking shanghai and we were the only region with 3 teams in playoffs, its just a narrative ppl created cause of 2023 fnatic and no one cares to actually update their opinions

As a casual viewer of only Pacfic(mostly T2) and fnatic's matches, I even forgot that C9 is in valorant partnership until i joined VLR.

  • Since FNC won LOCK/IN, EMEA got a 4th representation at Masters Tokyo.
  • FNC also won masters Tokyo, EMEA got a 5th representation at Champs LA.
  • EMEA had 2 extra teams in 2023 compare to Americas and Pacific as international winner gets additional representation (VCT CN wasn't established).
  • NAVI being the 4th EMEA qual to Masters Tokyo and 5th qual to Champs LA would shift its position to 10-14.
