I like the FPX core, they buy out the whole team minus my least favorite of the 5 (ardiis) in place of my all time fav duelist at the time (Cned)
I start looking through tier 2 and take a liking to Koalanoob, They buy him
I also start enjoyinh ruxic's playstyle, "this guy has amazing potenti-" navi buys him
I think Hiro is pretty cool after his amazing performance as a sub on FNC...The second he leaves that team they grab him.

AND NOW THEY PICKED UP CHLORIC, A PLAYER I'VE THOUGHT IS ONE OF THE BETTER IGL'S IN TIER 2.
The only player pickup that my curse didn't affect was -alexiiik +Filu (which was the fucking stupidest trade of all time)
Shao is washed...let's accept it suygetsu is the only player from the FPX core who is still one of the best in EMEA
One of the best in EMEA is a big stretch now imo, he has glimmers of his old self but he was also pretty bad his last year with Navi he also looked hella washed. I think this year he's done better but I bet it's still pretty hit and miss
Like I said, he's had some good games this season. But it's such a small sample size and the past few years he definitely was not 1 of the best in EMEA. You have to compare him against all the best players like ruxic, hiro, kaajak, chronicle, riens, Minny, Larok, Nats, Alfa, derke, etc
Pretty sure Suy doesn't even rank in the top 10 of highest rated EMEA players of all time for any season according to vlr itself
Getting an americas player and kicking an EMEA igl, two birds with one stone, now Navi can qualify to an international.

I love Shao, have followed this team since Party Parrots and the old FPX vs G2 roster when it was Meddo and Shadow still.. but let's be honest, Shao is washed. He actually looked a little better this year even when IGLing, but idk how he was even in tier 1 the past couple years. I was hoping he could find a new role as an IGL, but obviously that didn't work out. There must have been some bad calling behind the scenes that we aren't privy to..
And don't get me wrong, I remember the days when Shao was literally one of the most feared players on the server, he was a clutch king... like Copenhagen was by far my fav masters and is still by far the best underdog storyline ever and Shao + Suygetsu carried them many times and Shao especially had to hard carry until Suy got there just in time for lower bracket elimination matches. But that's ancient history at this point, and Shao hasn't been that player in several years now
