I think many people liked the underdog guard and how they managed to get first seed. the core stuck together for ascension and became a top team in americas. neT and jonahp are prob the only things that would give them substantial hate but if u look from their perspective, they had to make changes to win.

they receive a good amount of hate but its nowhere near the same level of other teams, its just making fun of their 'golden era' and general dislike of the ego that players like valyn have, applies to anyone like him not just cause hes on g2
While on the topic, Nrg is also one of the teams that receives an incredibly disproportionate amount of hate, particularly with the discourse around brawk
you gotta realize what vlr has become. anyone who's ever come here for an insightful conversation about a team or match has gotten ragebaited by some dweeb. automatically that makes the people that genuinely understand the game on here the minority. theres def some ball knowers but 90% of this site is ragebait that u prolly fell for
compared to other teams they had an easier path + given their history in past international events people tend to count them out for santiago but who knows, maybe it’ll be good for them

n0rg? nrg is excellent, but the map vetos of nrg vs bbl was very weird
Mostly just ragebaiters, they don't look as good as expected though with the PRX loss it looked like there was a tier gap and I at least expected them to come in and at least get a map off PRX if not win, and against AG even though AG only got 10 rounds it felt like g2 got kinda scrappy and should've won more comfortably
They aren’t bad but extremely overrated they have been considered favorites so many times but fail those expectations everytime. They call themselves the best team last year but did nothing
they just bums on the international stage plus nobody want to see v0lyn and tr0nt win a trophy i mean be fr
