did tier 2 CS pay THAT well? he mentioned he got it a few years ago or something i think

I remember that he said a few months ago that he got a fat paycheck once (Probably after runners up in champs or winning reykavik) when he was playing with optic and when his parents saw it they thought he was selling drugs or something so I guess he got payed a lot and im sure nrg and envy payed him well too
You really have no idea how much money Valorant pros make it's great money and once you have lots of money its very easy to grow it into even more by right investment.

i think i have a fair idea given i know how much a prominent tier 1 org's players and staff were making post franchising
but a 5 bedroom house is still a LOT of money.
you are only counting his salary look at sponsorships , streaming money, champs bundle money , masters winner money, Americas regional win prize money add all that and you are looking at a rich man .
sponsorships, streaming money, champs bundle money, masters winner money, americas regional win prize money
(fns never won a regional btw LMAO)
aka income that mostly came AFTER he purchased the house
what ? No it didn't he has been all this except streaming one in Valorant since 2021 He was literally the IGL of one of the greatest Valorant team before Franchising people were able to live comfy life by just winning their country qualifiers he was competing at internationals and winning there you can look up his prize money earnings year after year.
You do realize that not only does NA valorant pay really well but NRG is probably the highest paying org in NA as well. They were probably paying him very well.
NA valorant probably paid a lot post franchising but I'm not sure if OpTic/NV were big money droppers. NRG for sure gave him a bag but from what I remember the purchase of this house predated NRG. I might be wrong on this though
that's now. he said he got the house years ago. i don't remember the exact number but i remember wondering whether CS paid that well as it must have been either during the early stages of Valorant or late-stage NACS
ahh I don't think they paid that well, even back then FNS wasnt really on a top NA cs team so I guess bros just born wealthy
yeah that's why my original question was asking whether tier 2 CS paid that well. no way he was getting enough to afford a 5 bedroom house before CS got big on gambling and saudi. so i guess either my timeline is wrong or he was already able to draw from a large source of money.
He’s probably making multiple times the money streaming than he made as a pro
no doubt he is loaded now. he got the house prior to blowing up as a streamer
Shahzam casually had a $300k car ordered before he was on Sentinels, from what I heard the cs players have very good people in finance/investing that help them out. That’s why even ones that seem very washed or don’t do anything are still chilling today. Even if you look at steel and others they’re in the same boat. One thing that’s very respectable from them to be very safe with their finances.
That's super interesting to know that the NA tier 2 CS guys had people that financially literate around them. Wonder how that happened.
and yeah good on them for being wise with their money, they should know better than other people that eSports is fleeting and you don't always get to stay making a bag year after year
Really wish the same existed in Valorant even for the T1 players, I feel like if they miss out on T1 or on an opportunity, it's either collegiate or retirement to something else. It's crazy, the difference is.
it's the orgs job for sure to protect the players here, right? I hope Riot is stipulating this. I'm not a SEN fan but I really like how they treat their players. hopefully all orgs provide financial assistance to their players, but ngl, in Pacific I'm doubtful that each org really has the financial wellbeing of their players at heart.
Yeah I think CS just has deep sponsors connected because of US, Europe, and Saudi. I'm hearing these ex CS pros that weren't doing much in t3 talking about how they are at the club with some big executive at a tech company, small knoweldge is all you need and if one person in the scene is getting good connections it doesn't get gatekept since everybody in esports tries to support each other.
