why won't they do a round robin to have them face all teams and not just face 2-3 teams and have a vacation and wait for a long time to play again.

Because they want to stream every single game, so round robin probably just takes too long.
that's the problem they force us to watch other region which is bad imo it makes the regional tournament longer than it should be, sometimes it feels like they have a 1 week break and i forgot that the they still have matches left and they didn't get what they want where viewers watch other region and their format to stream every match is plain stupid it takes a lot of time and no time slot for 3rd party event.
im pretty sure they don't, its always lose 3 match and you get a vacation for 3months
its still not round robin, round robin means they face all teams and a point system depending on the number of participating team usually if its a 12 team the top 2 team automatically goes to semi final just check this tournament in dota 2.

yes they only have vct, like a strong team doesn't face the weak/avg team for like a year is a thing in this format
I think that’s a team and org problem. There are off season events that they can participate in to play at least some matches that aren’t scrims but most don’t so it’s on them imo.

if what you mean is a bo3 game in group then yes but they can do bo2 in round robin so no one can talk shit about it being bo1 where teams got surprised or something its a point system anyway

2024/2 is a bit tricky cause it took year-round results but technically there were 1-3 teams qualifying

this is just kickoff format and its great
full round robin every stage would be good but it would have conflict of dates between regions and T2/GC and they dont wanna do it since they want to intercalate internationals
kickoff is the only tournament thats like this, split one last year guaranteed 5-6 games for the worst team and split two guaranteed 10 games for the worst team
they done round robin in 2023 im pretty sure hope they bring it back tbh maybe for stage 1 then do a shorter one for stage 2
