Comments:
Americas:
FURIA is one of the strongest teams and will be the gatekeepers of international events. But I don't think they're qualifying due to their lack of BO5 endurance.
100 Theives and Cloud9 are evenly matched.
ENVY will have the greatest improvement in Stage 1.
Sentinels need to make some serious adjustments moving forward if they even want to see a final of any sort. Super disappointing. Never forget the Hookah incident on round 24...

EMEA:
Liquid are not good and should have lost long ago. [Example 1](https://www.vlr.gg/594751/karmine-corp-vs-team-liquid-vct-2026-emea-kickoff-mr1/?game=244339&tab=overview), [Example 2](https://www.vlr.gg/594766/giantx-vs-team-liquid-vct-2026-emea-kickoff-lr3/?game=244387&tab=overview)
FUT and KC are so underestimated. In Stage 1, they will win some major upsets
Fnatic will not attend Santiago and will be the Furia of EMEA. Chronicle left a major hole that needs filling still.

Pacific:
PRX and DFM can easily switch places if they get their act together. PRX has one chance left to prove themselves.
Primmie is the future of Valorant.
I am least confident in Nongshim in attending Santiago. They versed some middle-of-the-road teams who had a bad day. They have yet to be truly challenged, and I think they will fall flat in the upper final.
DFM is going to win the lower final.
I miss Gen G. in international events. (The GE vs Gen.G was cinema)
PACIFIC IS THE STRONGEST REGION

you have some nerve to put PRX above DRX , PRX is washed. they nearly lost to GE if not for plot armor and lucky moments (GE choked tho) . DFM over T1 is just straight up crime

T1 is really surprising me this year and they are only that high because they did beat PRX. But I don’t see them attending Santiago honestly unless they beat PRX in lowers

Predicting DFM is beating T1 in Mid Final

They highkey are, I have zero idea who is going to win

100T odds are 1.81 and C9 odds are 1.89

Insanely close skilled teams fighting

put TH into 3rd and the ranking makes sense, we are going to santiago, tthe 6 day break we will have changed comp on at least 3 maps (1 will be breeze -sage +astra) , we will stop banning pearl and unveil another chamber comp, abyss becomes the perma ban, we switch the solo jett for neon on corrode and then we never lose another game until we 3 peat the year

#11

I would love to see Heretics in Santiago, honestly. But Fnatic is a giant wall and I do think M8's had the easier road to the upper final and they'll fall flat.

If they start using Chamber on Bind and even Abyss, I think they could revolutionize the actual Chamber meta. If the current meta stays in place, I think TH will be a scary team to play.

G2 > MIBR tbh.

u cant say that when mibr is 2-0 and g2 lost to furia and went 26-20 against c9

new g2 is different to the g2 we saw vs furia

#16

i agree, but "new g2" played like "new g2" in one game
they played like crazy and nrg wasnt expecting that, so we cant say now they r the best team in americas yet

#27
aketrps

Frags

the g2 vs nrg is just like saying c9 is the best team because they r group-stage farmers, no one know what to expect from them, and nrg (and everyone, tbh) wast expecting that from g2

#15

G2 destroyed NRG much more convincingly than MIBR beat them. Other than that MIBR's only other match was against Envy, who they really should've beaten with 0 difficulty.

G2 didn't look great against Furia or C9, but that match against NRG was a statement.

I agree. I don't think we've seen MIBR struggle? Outside of their match against NRG on Abyss. NRG's Abyss is a masterclass and even then the other maps were a close game. I am stoked to see them in Santiago

they struggled on Corrode against Envy, a team who they realistically shouldn't have been dropping more then like 6 rounds against.

#25

I think that might be a map problem? Corrode is incredibly T-sided and it was MIBR debut so it may have been nerves.

mibr with only 15 days of practice became a narrative excuse for people to say they’re an inferior team just because they had “trouble” against envy at corrode

the half went 10-2 for mibr, and they kinda trolled, aspas missed easy awp shots and the team started losing clutches they shouldn’t have, but by the time they hit 12 the game was already in mibr’s control, but AGAIN, they had 15 days of practice to play that match

#30
AhhhYuhhh

Frags

saying they trolled is kind of copium.

and what about both teams matches against NRG? G2 absolutely humiliated them while their match against MIBR could've gone either way.

MIBR at their peak might have a decent chance of beating G2, we just haven't actually seen it yet, where as G2 looked in peak form in their last match.

you’re looking only at the raw results and ignoring the context of both matches, which makes your analysis shallow and lacking depth. you need a technical eye if you wanna analyze teams properly.

compare how nrg played against mibr, and then how nrg played against g2.

nrg is a methodical team whose strength is anti-stratting. like valyn said himself, two days before the match g2 changed comp and strategy, so everything nrg prepped for during their week of practice was basically useless.

g2 played super aggressive and broke conventional americas team fundamentals, playing more like a pacific region team. that caught nrg off guard, they couldn’t adapt to g2’s style, started tilting, disrespected the opponent’s play, and nrg’s lack of adaptation and reaction made them lose.

your points don’t make any sense to put g2 above mibr right now. g2 lost to furia and played close maps against cloud9, you don’t even know if they’ll keep that playstyle that worked against nrg or if it’ll keep working for them.

#52

#14

I could be convinced. G2 only in 2nd because they lost to Furia.

Jawg was not in top form when playing them, and I think the stakes weren't too high in his opinion, so he did not need to play 100%? But against NRG the stakes were higher, and he played a lot better.

They should win against Furia again and Furia will lose to NRG

#18

I think the Americas top 3 rn are G2 > MIBR > NRG.

NRG and MIBR aren't losing to Furia, and the G2 that faced Furia and NRG are night and day different.

The G2 difference between Furia and NRG was insane. They looked completely different.

G2 and MIBR have to win their brackets in Santiago if we want to see them face each other on an international stage. It will be cinema

Liquid are not good and should have lost long ago.

Then why didn't we? It's almost as though we are the better team, oh wait we simply, are the better team that's why we haven't lost yet.

(Also I think FNC are #2 EMEA)

the funniest part is that breeze shouldve been a way closer game, KC played terribly and liquid gave them so many free rounds. there’s a reason engh called a timeout up 7-1

#42

I think you are misunderstanding things, despite giving them so many free rounds we still won 13-10. Breeze should've been a way more of a stomp not closer

How is "lack of Bo5 endurance" a point against furia?

We haven't even seen them play one and if anything they have a major advantage being a new roster with little footage and a LOT of time to prep

For example, we have never seen their Corrode or Haven, and neither of them are a permaban

#33
quixdotpng

I think because of their lack of BO5's, they're going to struggle in all of these Finals. Wish the best for them though, I love Koalanoob

No offense but did you even read what I wrote vro

#36

i did lmfao

i think they're going to become super tired very fast. If they lose to MIBR, and then G2, they are going to be absolutely drained playing 10 maps of valorant in 2 days. I'm excited to see them play, MIBR v FUR is gonna be cinema

#40

you can say that for any team not just FURIA

if MIBR, G2 or NRG had to play two bo5 series back to back just to lose, I would favor the team coming from the lowers

Koalanoob, eeiu and artzin have a lot of bo5 experience. I think you are overblowing it

#37

Whyre people acting like Furia haven’t played bo5s before? Koalanoob has played multiple bo5s to qualify for ascension and play in ascension, same with eeiu + he made an international. Artzin obviously I don’t even need to say but he will be fine. It’s just the 2 rookies in nerve and alym that have 1 bo5 and that was them failing to qualify to ascension in a 5 map series.

Sure when you compare it to the other guys on MIBR it’s a lot less but they have played them and they know what it feels like.

eg had the luckiest run ever, played against loud and eg after internal issues and without scrims with demon1

I don't think EG got lucky. They played super well.

DGZ is the future of Brazilian talent and I am shocked this is technically his second year in VCT. Should have been picked up way earlier. And his teammates are good. Bao and Oke are incredible
