platchat is dumb

i remember their narratives saying that mibr was more likely to implode than vitality, and that one of the reasons was because they didn’t have a “vibes guy” 😹😹😹👏👏

people really managed to believe that if there isn’t a guy screaming at the end of every round then the team has low energy, loud 22 didn’t have anyone yelling every round and they were still resilient asf as a team

Reason why is?

everyone there has been friends for years, there’s no ego conflict.
and zekken, who’s the least familiar with the others, is one of the most humble and least egotistical players in the scene, plus two coaches who are experienced at dealing with big personalities (frod and happy)

Internal tensions can arise from any where

“implode” is different from having team tensions at certain moments.
but for sure, it’s way more likely for a roster of friends to implode than a roster like vitality, with a rookie who has a massive ego and likes to talk shit (sayonara).

chill. vitality was also really good during kickoff, too. don't jinx yourself.

nah, everyone on mibr has been friends for years. vitality imploded because it was an ego battle, you guys need to understand why a team imploded instead of just saying team x will implode just because it has big names on it.

yaa they work with valorant not with team environment they just gave possibility with how each year super team has made and then after kick-off something happen it was just a probability it can happen if they dont get result cause this team is made to lift trophies in Americas and international

but keep getting mad at a comedy podcast ig

i found their number one fan, platchat’s lawyer 😯😯😯

i only said it’s a dumb and unfounded take. and it’s not a comedy podcast, they have serious topics there too, and this was said in a very serious way, not only on platchat but also on sideshow’s podcast with tmv/shyo.

i mean, multiple other teams, which seemed to be perfectly fine, have blown up before. also, this is much to early to say that "LMAOOO, they fuckin WRONG," as vitality had not looked like they were blowing up at all this time of the year. yes, they might all be friends, but they still are people. if someone does a dumbshit thing in double OT in a final, and everyone else hates them for it, that could lead to implosion, even between friends.

but then their argument for that happening is because there’s no “vibes guy”? is that for real?

there’s literally no plausible reasoning there. like you said, any team in the world can implode for a bunch of reasons, even without ego issues or star players, just like mibr 2025 where everyone hated each other around masters toronto. but to say team x has a higher chance to implode than team y, you at least need to say something that actually makes sense

#43

yeah, the argument is not being articulated in the best way. however, as cloudberry says in #23, loud 22 isn't the best example. i would say that instead of using "vibes guy", the word "emotional leader" is a better word. every team needs a person to help ground people. if someone is tilting during a game for some reason, rage peeking and int-ing, they definitely need someone within a team to help stabilize them, and allow them to play to the best of their ability to win, instead of feeding into the instability.

honestly i think on mibr, verno, aspas or zekken can fill that role.
at champions when mibr was getting destroyed by drx on sunset, do you remember aspas calling the team out, telling them to wake up and communicate better? and zekken on sentinels was always that guy who talks and tries to calm everyone down in tough moments. verno as captain too, in the envy match when mibr was almost getting reverse swept, the camera focused on him during the pause and you could clearly see him talking a lot to the team, same thing against nrg.

that's true. many of them can fill the role. though, we have seen verno when he isn't in the best headspace (in nrg), aspas can go quiet at times (in his gameplay at least), not sure about zekken though. i don't really know to be honest, don't watch comm videos that much. i do think that they can definitely just keep going, and play really well. however, i do think there is definitely a chance that something will happen and they will implode. maybe they did exaggerate it in the podcast, maybe not as much as vit last year, but i do feel that not everything is guaranteed to be perfect with mibr.

that's just my opinion, though. you and the platchatters are entitled to what they might think. they might think aspas is a baiter, and they might be right, but they can also be wrong. i don't think that automatically makes them bad analysts for having opinions, though.

i’d never seen that before lol
that’s basically their bias in action. i remember very clearly back in mibr 2025 they were saying aspas played without motivation, with a sour face, “just baiting”, and that it annoyed them, and that was right when aspas was dealing with burnout right after his wife was hospitalized

but when chronicle went negative for several games and cried at champions, nobody said a damn thing

loud 22 didn’t have anyone yelling every round

True, but you can't say Saadhak and Sacy weren't essential to the vibes of the team. Not every team needs to have yellers, but every team needs emotional leaders
