what orgs do you guys see getting removed?
HAHA so funny W guuz if EG somehow makes it i hope they go back to their old logo and actually do something
good luck to tyloo too :) i dont follow CN but i've been hearing half of that roster's names for a while
ty ty hopefully we get to see a TYL vs FUR at an international this year
EG (sadge)
BBL (probably)
TS (hopefully)
LOUD (pls)
PCF (slop fest)
NS (sadge)
Bro is just Singaporean. From what I have seen Singaporeans and other south east Asians hate each other.
EG are holding on to the 2024 champs run like their life depends on it man that's literally their only feat keeping them in franchising, bc otherwise they've literally invested the least into the league and are one of the least successful.
KC are garbage but I could see them staying in out of the pure popularity of the team
TS need to go now
nonono, not at all, i just don't want to see you setting up a gay sex night right here.
EG winning champs and then cutting every player's salary offer was terrible...
i dont follow EMEA much, but it seems like KC invests decently into valorant and has a good fanbase? their issue is clearly coaching/comps, so stupid
KC is just an anomaly man idk how they are such a massive and popular team yet throw this slop into vct every year
if I'm Jonathan Riot, I pay 1million USD to sliggy bonkar and mini each, and assign them each stage to the worst teams in all the franchise leagues and give them a crash course on proper comps, teamplay, etc.
some teams truly cant help themselves, but they could raise their floor by so much with some proper tutoring and experience
It's really hard to guess, we dont know how many franchise we will have, a lot may be removed
You are tripping my bro, Riot where hesitating between :
True in China, EMEA and AMER, not true in APAC,
In APAC you cant drop GEN, T1, DRX, you need 1 India, 1 TH, 1 PH, 1 ID, 1MYSG and at least 1 JP (and probably 1 OCE), APAC is the big problem in case of a reduction of franchise.
Also more time pass and more I rather have a path to master for T2 than ascention team that would mostly get poached
They'll just drop DRX and 1 JP team.
Japan has been bottom feeding forever and DRX will have no problem re-qualifying, Riot might even keep them on as some sort of "guest team" in 2027 before any Ascension has been held.
I dont think they can drop DRX, but that would be the least less worst outcome.
I still beleive the APAC split is unavoidable in 2031, and that would be werid to take the risk to loose them for the long term
For preds. Hmm maybe envy. Heard some problem with one of them for a while that had to do with something( not really sure what that was about) but overall so they’re probably the best bet for now. Idk what was going on but Id seen one or two times last year something bout drx having one so assuming their still there drx my next bet. Obviously can’t go apex anymore. Tough choices that’s for sure.
my dream partnered teams would be
NA:
Sentinels, Cloud9, G2, LOUD, FURIA, MIBR, FaZe, KRU, LEVIATAN, NRG, LYON, and ENVY
EMEA:
Karmine Corp, Gentle Mates, Aurora Gaming, Team Spirit, Team Vitality, Team Liquid, FNATIC, BBL Esports, FUT Esports, Natus Vincere, Virtus.pro
APAC:
Paper Rex, Rex Regum Qeon, DRX, Gen.G, T1, DFM, Full Sense, OG, Dplus, ZETA Division, Global, and idk
CHINA:
EDward, Bilibili, Invictus, TYLOO, Dragon Ranger, Xi Lai, Weibo, Wolves, Trace, FunPlus Phoenix, All Gamers, Ninjas in Pyjamas
Assuming they do downsize the number of partners, Americas will probably be
SEN
NRG
G2
100T
MIBR
FURIA/LOUD
LEV
KRU
There really isn't much reason to change anything in Americas, unlike other regions. EG and 1 of the BR teams are easy bloat to cut, and C9 is simply an unfortunate victim of G2 needing to get in.
i believe the leagues will downsize to 8 teams and then have 8 teams competing through whatever open circuit system they design so 16 team leagues
americas i think will be split in 2
i think c9 will get removed for g2
emea is losing bbl fs
pacific probably loses global and secret i could also see bme replacing rrq.
cn is fs losing tec and nova and someone is taking the hit for rare atom
Riots not gonna go up to 16 teams, Riot pays teams a yearly stipend for being in VCT, they would either have to spend millions paying for more teams, or pay every team across the board less. There's also the actual format, they simply don't have enough time to run 16 team stages while also running LoL.
open circuit bro partnered teams will be cut maybe it doesn't end up being 8 and is 4 instead idk but they will have a lot more unpartnered teams competing
Teams won't want to compete in an open circuit if they're getting none of the benefits the partnered teams get.
That stipend, team Capsule sales and Champs bundle revenue is the only reason orgs even compete in tier 2 currently.
dude the league is gonna look a lot different everything im saying has already been said they are going to decrease partnered teams and they are moving to a open circuit integrated system. why do you think they are testing tier 2 teams competing in the league this year? im sure riot will support these teams in some way for making it into the league and still offer benefits
Riot hasn't confirmed an open circuit anywhere, just that it would be "more open".
Riot won't financially support 64 teams, it's just to many. The only way that many teams would be possible is if they start pulling in some of CS egregious sponsorships, like calling it the "1xbet Masters", or letting teams plaster a Stake logo on the front of their jerseys.
they have said they want to have more tournaments and "more open" means some type of open circuit definitely wont be some 2022 shit but they are at least testing it out this year
lmao all of these TS getting removed comments are gonna be proven wrong very soon
