Alfa had better Toronto but not by huge margin and when you consider that chronicle was playing flex, the difference gets more short.
The issue is no one notice chronicle consistency because he don't have insanely high peaks.

The way vlr rating works doesn’t favor fragging roles like you’re suggesting. Alfajer had a lot better K/D and ADR like you’d expect from someone playing a fragging role while the difference isn’t as big in terms of rating.

Unpopular shout, Shao over one of the LOUD players in 2022 (IMO over Aspas)
He was the best player in EMEA, only missed Reykjavik due to COVID, then won Copenhagen as the best player, then finished top 4 at champs as one of the top 5 players at the tournament. All of these stats are also over more rounds than most players except for yay (because Shao was in lower bracket and OpTic somehow always played a ton of rounds)
IMO:
Shao is a good shout, but as you said it too, FPX missing an event kinda makes it hard to rate FPX players in general for 2022. I wanted to play safe for 2022 to be honest but yeah Shao was my favorite player in 2022 and he's definitely a shout for top3/5 players that year
they qualified for the 1st masters btw, but they cant be able to play
and sacy did shit on copenhagem (he has free qualify cause he plays on vctbr), so its like a 50/50 on qualified events, and thats why i still go with shao
