How bad is EMEA playerbase actually?
Tier 2 players in EMEA are insane individuals. But not teams
Same as Americas really, apart from ‘m80 and guard using 2G as an example
If you imported select Emea tier to NA (loita, larok, comeback, umu7) you’d see the same phenomenon
2g is exception for Americas tier 2 tho not the rule. Every other Ascencion team has been good. G2 are still world beaters, NV look at least mid-table, M80 if they ascended wouldve been competetive at least because their roster was good in both years (Johnqt, eeiu, koala, nismo, zander, net, bcj etc.)
But in EMEA every Ascention team has been bottom feeders, without exception
What? BBL pcfc (now BBL) ascended and just won, and when it comes to NA we have only gave 3 ascended teams (1 shoulda never been in t2, one was horrible, and the other looks ok)
Your also forgetting that apeks got both of their best players (keiko, kaajak) poached as soon as they ascended

You cant count BBL's win just yet because they are yet to win against a real EMEA team.
EMEA Ascencion team hasnt made to playoffs in all 3 years of franchising just yet but in every other region that isnt the case.

Really don't like g2 being labelled as a "T2" team when 4 of the players made it to an international, and only were in t2 because their org shafted them.
Still M80 that year were competetive with Guard in tier 2, even if Guard core had been in franchising and M80 were to win Ascencion in 2023, I wouldnt be surprised if they were to qualify to internationals with their roster.
Still you have to admit NA has way better tier 2 talent. Just look at NRG, they had 3 rookies who were playing in tier 2 NA before just the year before.
if m80 made it instead, it'd just be like what happened to apeks. I don't think they would be able to make an international either, even if they did manage to stay together. like the first post said as well, individually NA & EMEA are probably on par with each other talent wise. also id like to just say that brawk was literally a t1 player before and is not a rookie. maybe a rookie in franchising, but not t1. (fun fact, ghost gaming was my favourite na team back then. Then it was xset)
I disagree on 2023 M80 I feel like that roster would make at least 1 international. 2024 on the other hand would be middle of pack imo. BcJ and neT probably wouldn’t be good enough to keep up in T1 and unless M80 2024 made changes they would’ve lost out
You mean the 2023 with LOUD/EG/SEN/NRG? It'd make more sense if u were talking about 2024. But even at that, they'd only be able to play in the 24 season. Even then M80 would probably be around C9/NRG/EG level. You still had LEV, SEN, LOUD,100T & KRU to beat to get to an international. That 3rd slot in stage 1 & 2 is very contested. It's probable they could've in 2024 but not even remotely possible for them in 2023 to make an international excluding lock/in. (if ascension happened in 22 to promote a team for 23.)
Sen was ass in 23 and none of EG, LOUD, or NRG were looking unbeatable going into champs (also remember that was the year kru went on a run). EG was mid at best going into tokyo. That 23 m80 team would have made an international that year (outside of lockin ofc). 24 would have been a lot less likely as m80 looked relatively worse imo that year + only slot i think they would have had a decent chance at was the 4th champs slot
but also kinda agree with your original point the reason NA tier two has been so good is because NA had about (maybe even a little more) the same talent as EU at the time, but got half the teams. If you took players 26-50 who made EMEA tier one rosters in tier two, EU tier two would also seem a lot better. IMO EMEA tier two in a few years will be producing way more good players (yall have 2x the player base and tbh their is no passion in the NA playerbase anymore)

players are great but the teams lack depth and their talent keeps getting poached from them, BBL are "lucky" they didn't lose anyone. They also tend to have pretty bad management. They're also kinda broke (PCF, Apeks)

Koala and penny didn’t pop off they were just good and are playing better in Americas and less definitely played worse in Emea
sub out koala and penny, + narrate + crashies. Less had a bad year but that team was dysfunctional ill give him a pass

Hmm could it be that these Ascensions teams get their players poached the moment they ascend or other circumstances. Apeks lost Kaajak and Soulcas, PCF lost their whole roster, and ULF don't have their 2 highest fraggers... also if you look at FUT they actually did well after ascending way back.
Also talking shit about EMEA tier 2 players is insane when EMEA has the widest tier 2 talent pool out of any region and has brought in shit ton of talent. And your take about NA players popping off is false as well when majority of the imports have been mid tier. EMEA just has so many spots to fill and on average teams take risks with tier 2 talent so the competition for those is high and often teams need to look for other options including imports. There is also language barriers and contract barriers that stop some moves from happening. Like how many tier 2 players have high buyouts etc compared to the amount teams are willing to pay.

Less is from South America not NA (North America) so instead of calling it NA just say Americas
