Usually I hate watch them since they just buy good rosters but now I’m kinda sad because they got tier 2 players and gave an underrated player a chance and they get are getting cooked

They just had a bad read on split I think, their comp was pretty terrible. It should look a lot better on the next 2. If not, that’s a coaching issue
Their reads on the meta were off all last year, so far its not looking great. First map though, plenty more to see from them.

they abandonned yoru completely and forced double init as much as possible, they defo didn't force the meta, they were just too addicted to tejo and breach
Idk, the lotus comp they used was meta, Jett is fine on abyss, neon is great on haven, they were always shit on ascent, etc etc
They generally used the meta comp, double init was still really strong, only really g2 and prx spammed tf out of yoru

the fact that they completely stopped playing yoru cost them. Zekken was really good at it and they ended up playing very readable classic and boring stuff with little to no innovation. Using classic comps is fine when you have great map theory and strong calling like they did in 24 (eg; their split) but that wasn't the case at all last year
I'm at least thinking of at Champs, might be wrong about the whole year. They were running solo Neon a lot, solo Jett, etc. It did not look good.
Solo neon is fine on haven and sunset, and they only ran solo Jett on abyss? Which is perfectly acceptable because the comp they are using WAS the meta comp (unless you used harbor omen)
yeah I think waylay is kinda overrated on split, it's good but I hate how everyone is giving up on raze
solo tejo init into koalanoob is a known death sentence.

there’s a long season ahead and even if they lose there’s two more chances for them to improve
The last time SEN played split, they lost 13-2 to PRX because they had very little info utility and only Skye to give info. But they did not even use the Skye flashes for info even though they had 3 other flashing agents in that game and could have spent these flashes for crucial info. Their 5 head plan to rectify this was to run no info agents besides Tejo who has even less info util than Skye.
They could have easily run a Sova or Fade for more info or some senti like Cipher or Chamber to hold space and give them info when space is lost. But no.
When a team refuses to learn from their failures, they deserve only failures.
