Are sentinel useless now?

Ok, I’m a bit harsh but after the recent nerfs, i feel like most senti doesn’t have a place in vct rn, beside KJ. Vyse is fine but there is no reason to pick her over KJ or even chamber. Cypher is just not good, deadlock and sage are just “good on certain maps, but not a priority pick”. Chamber could see a higher pick-rate as his trip doesn’t have a range and he can get aggressive with a get out of jail card. The downside is that his ulti isn’t good for staling, he can be a good pick on double controller comp.

I think chamber is gonna be meta in maps like pearl and abyss with operator also breeze might see veto and chamber being picked up only sentinels I see jot being used much are gonna be vyse and deadlock tbh

is it just me or is viper is a better senti than some of the senti's rn

Sentinels have pretty regularly been an optional role. They've gotten worse, but so have initiators and duelists

The biggest problem is how much worse Veto and Vyse are than the others now

It's a gamebalance problem, Sentinel will destroy unpreparaed team, or will get useless due to antistrat.
Either a sentinel is uncounterable is soloQ and unfun to play against
Or it's weak as hell in proplay
No in between. And we rather have weak agent than an agent that make the game unfun or unplayable

Sentinel where bound to be weak in proplay, especially in a game where smoke are so strong that your round is almost instantly dead the moment your sole smoker die (No retake, no entry if no smoke)

Sage is good, but not a Sentinel
